My Furry Life

I looked at the school in front of me and sighed. I had moved to Austen, Texas over the summer so I had time to get enrolled and get my schedule. I sighed again and walked inside. 'I hope I don't get bullied here...' I thought to myself. I walked in and looked around shyly. My first class was English and I was extremely nervous that I'd get lost.

I looked around again and bit my lip. 'This is gonna be a long day...' I thought to myself. As I was walking somefur ran into my back and I went flying forward.

"Watch it, you stupid kit!" Somefur yelled, kicking me in the back.

I whimpered in pain and scrambled to stand up. "S-sorry, but you ran into me..." I said quietly, looking to see a dragon fur glaring at me.

His glare darkened and he stepped closer to me, "I'm sorry, did you seriously just tell me what I think you did? Because if you did then you really must be blind, cuz you ran into me." He stepped closer again, talons balled into fists.

I could feel my tails begin to get angry and I felt my nervousness slipping away. "Yes you heard me correctly, and if you think you can scare me then you're sadly mistaken."

At this point a group of kids surrounded us and a tiger fur and an alligator fur stepped up behind the dragon fur. I rolled my eyes and turned getting ready to walk away and as I took a step my monster tail lashed out and bit the talon that had reached out to grab me. The dragon fur yelled out in pain and pulled his talon back.

"That's what you get for picking on a fox with a monster tail, Clark." A lion fur said, stepping out of the crowd.

I watched him warily as he approached me.

"Shut up Kevin, I didn't know he had a monster tail." The dragon fur, Clark I guess, said, rubbing his talon. "What do you want anyway."

"I just came to see what all the commotion was about." The lion, a black Lion with neon green and neon blue streaks in his main, said, shrugging and putting his paws in his pockets.

I sighed in frustration and rolled my eyes. "Whatever, I have classes to get to so if you'll excuse me." I started walking in the direction of my first class.

"Hey, wait up!" The lion called after me, trotting to catch up to me. "Hey, what's your name?"

I glanced at him then continued to look for my classroom, "Callum."

"Callum... I like it," he said, smiling. "Mines Kevin, but I guess you'd have picked up on that by now..."

I shrugged and flicked my ears in annoyance. My tails hissed and growled as I tried to calm down.

"So... Are you new here?" Kevin asked, flicking his ears in my direction every so often.

"To the school, yes. To Texas, not so much." I said, and my tails started to calm down.

He nodded, "I've seen you in town with a human and a pitbull fur. Are they your parents?"

I raised an eyebrow at him to be sure he was serious, "No my parents are in Pennsylvania with my siblings. I moved to Texas because my family didn't like me all that much."

He looked taken aback and followed me into the English classroom as I found it. "So your family kicked you out?"

I chuckled at his incredulous tone of voice, "Yes, but they won't admit it. My mom will tell you I left because a kitten and my dad will tell you I left his house because he didn't have internet."

I looked around and sat in an empty seat in the back of the room. Kevin sat next to me and turned in his seat to look at me. "So, why were you with the pit and the human?"

I smiled, "Because the human is a friend of mine from a while ago and the pit is her boyfriend."

He nodded, "I see, and they took you in?"

I nodded, "I'm living with them till the end of this school year." I shifted in my seat so that one of my snake like tails was in my lap and I started petting it. "They treat me like I'm there son, it's really nice."

Kevin smiled and went to say something, but he was interrupted by the bell. He huffed and glared at the ceiling. "Stupid bell..." He grumbled.

I chuckled, "it's okay, we can talk later, what does your schedule look like?"

He pulled his schedule out and handed it to me. I looked it over and blinked then pulled mine out. "Wow, we have almost every class together."

"Really?" He looked at the schedules as I set them on the table next to each other. "Wow, you're right..."

I chuckled again, "Welp, I'll be seeing you more often."

He chuckled too, "Yup."

The teacher then walked in and called for the attention of the class, then did row call.

A/N: Hey guys, this is my second book on here and idk how good it is yet so I would like it if you could tell me what you think :) I will be drawing Callum and Kevin and maybe Clark, and I may draw another char that's coming up. Idk when I'll get the next chapter up so don't hate on me please? Anyway, see yah in the next chapter <^~^>
