Learning snowboarding is very hurtful. I just learnt snowboarding this year. I wasn't the best. I kept falling over and over onto my butt. I fell at the very least 20 times that day. The snow was also very hard so it didn't soften the impacts. The class I was in just taught us very simple snowboarding. It taught to go faster or slower with the snowboard horizontally. We used the conveyer belt to go up the hill a bit, and practiced over and over. By the end of the class, I could get down the area of the hill without falling. When I went on one trail, and I always slowly veered to the side, so I had to sit down, move back to the center, and continue going. Also at every turn, I had to get off and move to the side to keep going. When I was done snowboarding, my butt hurt for the rest of the day and a bit the day after that. Not counting all the falling, snowboarding is pretty fun, even if it's just a small segment of downhill. Choosing between skiing or snowboarding, I would want to ski. I learnt skiing a long time ago when I was small, and learning it felt easier and less painful than learning snowboarding.
