"You don't find love, it finds you.
It's got a little bit to do with destiny,
fate and what's written in the stars."

A BOOMING LAUGH erupted from his mouth rumbling through the small car. I couldn't help but let out a snort of my own at the lame joke. Dads jokes weren't always the best but they were just cheesy enough to be funny. It was one of the things momma said she loved about him. She was always a sap when it came to romance, meeting dad just gave her an excuse to become an even bigger sap. They both had their own tragic love story and although it wasn't the best thing to want, I couldn't help but want it.
Dad often reminisced about his time with her and as of now it was the old jokes he delivered that seemingly wooed my mother.

"I've never seen your mother so--"

My eyes felt heavy like I hadn't slept in days. I opened them trying to resist the urge to fall back into darkness. I could barely make out what was in front of me it was so blurry. I tried feeling around, my hand slid down the length of something hard and cold, trying to reach lower down I wrenched my hand back in pain letting out a gasp when I saw red liquid drip from the cut on my palm. My eyes shut and opened trying to focus on something. I held my hand to my chest squeezing it as if I could stop the pain by that simple movement.

My eyebrows furrowed in question at the smell resonating from nearby, it was obviously gas of some kind. Why was their gas? I turned to the side only now registering that I was upside down with something wrapped around my aching chest. It was gray, thin but sturdy... Was this a seatbelt?

I gave up on trying to keep my eyes open, trailing my uninjured hand across the belt till I felt the object connected to it. My heart skipped a beat when I felt myself falling, I desperately grabbed the belt, thanking god that it was locked. A pricking feeling swept over my stomach, I looked down trying to make out the objects barely meeting me. My eyes widened in alarm at the clear gleaming glass shard.

I reached down pushing it away, only then seeing it was connected to a what looked like a dashboard. Scratch that. It was a dashboard.

My neck popped when I whipped my head around, only seeing the splatter of red across the car seat next to me. There wasn't anybody in the seat. Why wasn't there anybody in the drivers seat?

"Hey! Are you guys--Oh my god."

"You're young Rebekah, you have so much going on, why this?"

"I don't understand what the big deal is. There wasn't even that much blood." The young girl said rolling her pale eyes, slouching in the squeaky leather chair. It wasn't as if it was anything new to the school. Fights happened all the time, nobody had stopped it previously. Yet the one time she 'attacks' a classmate, everybody seems to want to act like a responsible adult. Just thinking about it had her nails digging into the palms of her hands as she restrained from causing a potential catastrophic event right in this very office.
