Pilot Chapter

Earth is a beautiful place... everything is gorgeous... everything. From the two-headed dear all the way to the contaminated water. All of it is just a sight to see.

Life sucks. Especially for me. Out in the world without anyone is just awful. I am stuck talking and listening to myself. I just walk... until I find some sort of civilization. I am nomadic, not because I want to, because nobody wants me. I am scary. It seriously isn't my fault, but that doesn't matter, no one wants to take me in.

I was born with homicidal tendencies and mentally unstable. That really isn't my fault. When I was casted out by my own parents, and 8 other siblings, I just walked. Then I was kidnapped and branded. The markings on my body and face are not my doing. There aren't that many of them. Only on my arms are lines and on my chest there is some weird letters or numbers, not like any I have ever seen. My face... connected right below my eyes are a pattern. A line, about two inches long, going straight down then connected half way with an upside-down L.

I approach the settlement and hide my face under my hood. I don't want to get kicked out immediately, I need supplies. I walk over to a stand where they are selling dried fruit. Dried fruit is the cheapest food they sell. It also last a long time. I need that. The good thing about getting supplies from different places is that no one really has a currency, so if you have something shiny you can get some good stuff.

Luckily, before I came here I stole a lot of stuff from a thief, who tried to attack me. Stealing stuff from a thief isn't bad right? Anyways, he had a lot of really cool stuff. Like there is this one thing you wear around your wrist that is supposed to tell the time. I also got this thing that shows your reflection and a necklace that's made of gold!

I show the man who is selling the fruit the time wrist (what I call the object that tells time) and he shows me 10 huge packs of dried fruit. Wow! I didn't expect that much. This thing was worth a lot. I happily hand it over and grab my purchase. This will last me probably about a few weeks. It barely all fit in my  pack. That really made my day.

"A storm is coming! It's going to be a heavy one!" A man yelled loudly.

When he said that everyone started to move into structures. That really undid my day. Where am I supposed to go? I have no home and I know no one. I don't think anyone would want to take me in for the night either. My best choice might just be to outrun the storm, as impossible as it sounds.

"Hey you! Man with the cloth covering face." I turned to the sound of the voice, it was the man who I just traded with.

"There is Inn not to far from here. Few steps and you be there. Pretty cheap." He said.

"Thank you so much." I said joyfully. Just then a huge gust of wind blew my hood back. I tried to grab it before it fell but I could tell the man saw my face because his jolly expression turned into fear. He backed away slowly then turned and ran quickly. I hate these markings...

I walked for a few minutes and found a structure called "Old Western." I am guessing that this is the Inn. The path into the structure was dug out and there was a sign that said "Open." I am pretty sure that this is the Inn the man was talking about.

I was about to walk in when I saw a boy get thrown out of his house from the front door. It looked like someone was yelling at him and he was begging them to let him back in. The door slammed shut. He started banging on, he was crying. I walked over to him. He was young, he looked slightly younger then me. He was pale and had short dirty blonde hair. He was wearing some type of blue jacket with a hood in the back and these weird dark blue pants. I slowly approached him. He was taller then me. I tapped his shoulder. I felt bad for him. He reminded me of myself.
