Rarity woke up to Sweetie Belle shaking her awake. By the expression on her face, Rarity assumed it was urgent. She sat up and stared for a bit, the memories of her dreams, or rather nightmares, came rushing to her. They were horrific and had enough gore to make even a pony with the strongest stomach in all of equestria puke. Rarity rushed to the bathroom to do just that before Sweetie could speak.
"Rarity! Are you ok? You were screaming again. I was so worried!" She rubbed a hoof on her sister's back while she released the contents of her stomach. She watched as Rarity then got up to wash her face off. She wanted to help Rarity in every way she could, but it had been 3 consecutive weeks of Rarity screaming and having nightmares and she could do nothing to help her.
Rarity glanced over to Sweetie Belle, who had been by her side after every nightmare. She found it comforting that she cared that much, but the nightmares needed to stop. She sat down again, the images of her sleep still ringing through her head. She cried. Of all the horrors she had faced at night, this one was the worst, for in most, some other thing or pony was causing harm. She was the one gutting pony's stomachs open this time, and she had been the empty cold hearted killer.
Sweetie Belle hugged her, "I think it's time we see a doctor. You can't do this anymore, and I'm beginning to worry if this will affect your overall health." She looked up at her sister.
"I guess you're right. It's been a while anyway since I've last gone to the doctor." She glanced over to her phone, "what time is it now?"
"About six, the doctor's office should be opening now."
"Good. I'm going to call for an appointment." She levitated the phone to her face and began to make an appointment. It had been scheduled for noon, so the girls had some time until they needed to go out. The two tried to carry on their mornings as much as they could, but Rarity's lack of sleep and perfectionistic attitude on life really got in the way, and definitely wasn't a good mix. Eventually it was time to go to the doctor's office.

"Good afternoon Dr.Stables, how are you?" Rarity asked in her usual polite tone.
"As good as ever, and you? I heard that the reason you're here is because of these nonstop nightmares, am I right?" He asked as he levitated his clipboard up to his face. He had recently gotten this new spell from princess Twilight that could help with these types of issues, but there was a fairly large warning to only use it if nothing else could work.
"Well, yes. At first they were tame. Just ordinary nightmares that could be forgotten in a few minutes, but they just kept getting worse! I ended up puking this morning it was so bad! So, please, help..." she trailed off, not wanting to share to many of the details of her dreams.
"Alright, I'm going to use a spell that will allow me to see them. It will help me see their severity and I'll be able to judge what kind of treatment is necessary." He lit up his horn and pointed it towards hers. They made contact, and he suddenly jumped back in fear. He stared horrified for a quick moment as each one processed through his head. He took his clipboard and wrote a few things down before speaking, "well, that was certainly something. I'm going to use this spell that will take you inside your mind to work things out-"
"Can I come with her?" Sweetie Belle asked.
He glanced up cautiously at Rarity, "I guess, but I want you to be very careful while in there. Twilight has stated in her notes that most ponies who do this normally end up a little traumatized but overall okay."
Rarity smiled at Sweetie, pleased to know how much she cared for her to the point where she'd put herself at risk just to help her, "well, in that case, we're ready."
"Yeah. We won't die, right?" She cheered, excited to see what was going to happen.
"Ok, just be careful." He lit his horn up again and touched their foreheads, and within moments, the girls were unable to see him. The room's structure changed as well, with it looking far more like a living room than a doctor's office. They looked around for a moment before realizing it was their parent's living room. The only difference was a lantern on the coffee table along with a small music player of some sort, and two saddle bags.
"That's odd, why are we here?" Sweetie Belle questioned as she picked up the smaller saddle bag and strapped it on.
Rarity put on the bigger one, while hooking the music player on it, and checking to see if the lantern worked. The lantern was electric and used a small switch on the top of it. Rarity assumed she was fully equipped and decided to walk outside and find her boutique, "Not sure, but I think we need to find the boutique. After all, this is your home, not mine." She opened the door and was surprised when she looked outside. It was extremely foggy. She could barely see ten feet in front of her. Nonetheless, she trudged on and Sweetie Belle followed.
The two walked around town for a bit, struggling to find the boutique, and every now and then the music player would play this awful staticky noise. As they walked, Rarity couldn't help but feel like she was being followed, "stay close to me." She cautioned her sister, fearing what ever was behind them.
The music player began to play its static louder than it had ever before. Rarity turned around and saw this towering pony with a face so contorted that it could barely be considered a face at all. Its face looked as if some pony had taken it and twisted it up until it couldn't twist anymore. Its fur was a gross mucky orangish brown and its hair was this awful thick black mess that even pinkie would think was excessive. Its limbs looked like they belonged to a spider, and it had huge wings, that despite how horrendously misshapen they were, still managed to lift it off the ground.
"RUN!" Rarity called at Sweetie, who had obeyed before Rarity could even utter the command. The two ran quickly, but Rarity could see out of the corner of her eye, as the creature reached one of its disgusting limbs around one of Sweetie Belle's hind legs.
"NO!" Rarity stopped and sent a beam of light through the creature's grasp. It released her and cried out in pain. Rarity could see its large green eyes as it got closer. It wrapped around Sweetie Belle's torso, ignoring her screams for help. Rarity sent out a few more beams that scorched through the creature's twelve limbs. Just as she thought she had saved her sister, another one appeared behind her and stole her away while Rarity fought off the first one.
"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle called out as the creature flew away from her. Rarity stopped attacking the first monster and chased after the one with her dearest Sweetie Belle. She ran after it until her lungs and heart felt like they were going to give up on her. She slowed down, horrified that she had lost her sister. Her body revolted against her running so much and forced her to puke. She had no one to comfort her this time. She looked back up, but Sweetie Belle and the thing that took her were nowhere to be seen. Rarity felt tears begin to well up in her eyes. She allowed herself to cry. Her body felt exhumed of all energy. She couldn't hear a sound, and all of Sweetie's cries had silenced. Rarity sobbed, unsure if she'd ever see her again.
After an hour long pity party, Rarity got up. She had a new mission, and that was to find her sister. She'd rather suffer a thousand nightmares than abandon her sister for dead. She walked towards the direction the creature flew.
She saw a large theater that she hadn't seen in Ponyville before. She walked in and saw a small white colt, no older than Sweetie Belle, who didn't even have a cutie mark yet, sit alone in the empty stadium. She walked up to him, getting a better view of him. He turned his head, his messy green mane revealed a large pair of amber eyes. He smiled as he saw her and lightly flapped his wings as he walked up to her.
"Hi! Are you here to see the show too?" His voice was fairly irritating but expected from a young colt.
"Umm.. show?" She asked, unsure who he was, or why he was here.
"The show's not supposed to start until night time, do you want to look around until the show starts?" His large eyes looked really hopeful, but Rarity needed to find her sister before anything bad happened to her.
"I'm sorry, but I need to find my sister." She watched as his face drained itself of all joy, but light returned to his eyes quickly.
"Perhaps she's in the building! I know every room in this place, I can help you!" He stared bouncing around her, "and then you won't be alone, I won't be alone, and then she won't be alone!"
"I guess you can help me find her-"
"Yay! My name's Pin Stitch by the way, but you can call me Pin." He stared at her expectantly.
"My name's Rarity. Nice to meet you Pin." She walked next to him as he helped lead her to the dressing room. She opened the door and saw a sudden bright light.

Rarity and her parents left the stadium, and young little Rarity was bubbling with joy. She chatted on about the performance. She loved theatre and always wanted to make costumes for performances like that. Her father unfortunately had to leave for a moment so that he could get food for the family of three. Rarity and her mother waited in their cart as he left to order some food from the local food courts. Rarity and her mother discussed the parts of the play that they liked and criticized the parts they didn't. Rarity's mother had to leave though as she noticed that she had her husband's wallet in her purse.
"I'll be right back kiddo." She trotted off to assist her husband. Rarity sat alone on the cart.
One of the members of the orchestra that had helped compose parts of the play saw Rarity sitting alone in her family's cart. He walked up to her, "why hello. Did you see the show?"
Rarity looked up to see the bright orange stallion with a curly black mane. His bright green eyes looked trustworthy.
"Oh, yes. It was wonderful." She smiled at him.
He smirked, "would you like to meet some of the actors?"
"No, I should wait until my parents come back." She scooted away from the Pegasus, not liking the idea of leaving the cart.
"Not even the costume designers or composers?" He asked. He got closer, "it'll just be for a minute."
"I said no." Rarity glared at him now.
He flew up above her, "please? It'll be fun!"
"Ask a mare your age." She told him.
"But I want you." He lifted her up.
"Put me down!" She looked around but it seemed like he was the only pony there, despite the lack of company, she called for help.
"No one hears you!" He mocked. He flew up higher and placed a rag over her mouth. She passed out and he took her to his cart and flew off.
