Walking down the street against traffic with my music blasting, my mind was completely blank.  A lonely, black kid walking toward the nearing dusk.  The sky low above my head, the bright colors being forced to the ground and darkness overcoming.  It was a slight chill in the air, a brisk feeling on the skin.  Guess you could think of it as winter's gift.

The neighborhood was so different since I last saw it.  There were a few more additions.  I noticed the new houses either built or in the process, a couple new roads and the dirt road was starting to get paved.  They extended the area and cut down dozens of acres .  But not much changed in the dimension.  The atmosphere of the community was still a peaceful suburban subdivision.  Majority of my neighbors were elderly and white.  It was a cozy place where everyone for the most part knew one another.  Domo lived in the outmost of the back. It usually took me about fifteen minutes to get there by foot.  I waked two blocks before I was on the road leading straight to here subdivision.  All I had to do was walk around the circle where the fountain was and pass by the pool.  From there her house was about a block away.

I noticed a new car in her driveway the closer I got to her house.  It must've belonged to her boyfriend, I was still left in the dark about him.  I didn't know he could drive, let along that he had a car.  I walked casually to the front and rang the door bell.  I stood there and turned back around waiting patiently.  Out of the corner of my eye I saw the white curtain in the window flutter.  Seconds later I heard the locks clanking.  The door was slowly swinging open when I heard high pitched squeals.

"Q," they screeched dragging out the letter as long as their lungs allowed them to.  It was Domo and Neveah in harmony.  I was nearly taken off my feet as I was pounced on the moment the door was fully opened.  I fought to keep my balance, stumbling back a little.  I had barely recognized them.  Had it really only been two years since we last seen one another?

Dominique had thinned well, and gotten taller.  Not that she was ever fat, and she still had her hips.  She ditched the glasses, and got contacts.  She had a small nose ring as well.  It was a diamond on the outskirt of her left nostril close to her cheek.  She even let her hair down, it was smooth, dark, and flat. But everything else seemed about the same.  Domo was still the same milk chocolate complexion, whom I considered my sister.

Neveah went through a similar metamorphosis.  She was still the same tone, it was hard to explain but I guess you could call her a nougat color like the inside of a 3 musketeer with a golden kind of tint.  But she still looked like she had been in the sun all day.  She grew taller, she was about my height now, and lost a little weight. Even though she slimmed up her feminine features were very apparent.  Her breasts were well above average for any girl our age. Her hair was still a dark brunette with multiple golden highlights and still curly.  Her skin soft from when they practically tackled me.  Her smile was bright, cheeks full, and just beautiful in general.

They finally climbed off me and went back inside.  I followed close behind. The grandfather clock to my right almost as soon as I stepped into the living room.  On the couch off to my left I noticed a guy sitting there looking in our direction.  Though he was sitting down he looked like he was about my height.  He had a somewhat Italian look about him.  You could tell he was around his early twenties from his seven o'clock shadow and the sharpness of his face.  But he wore skinny jeans and a rather small Aeropostale shirt.  This must've be Dominique's boyfriend.

"Oh my God, Q.T," Neveah exclaimed. She must have been pretty excited to see me.  "What are you doing here?"

"Domo ain't tell you?"  I looked in Dominique's direction.  She just nodded her head denying that she knew anything, but her smirk betrayed her.  "I moved back today.  I'll be at Liberty on Monday."  I saw Domo's smug look from the corner of my eye.  She looked at the guy sitting I her living room.
