I wiped the grog from my eyes. It felt like I slept on a completely made of twisted, rusted springs. I rolled my head onto my right side, still in the stage between conscience and dreams. The tan wallpaper was stripped and hanging off the walls. The bedside table was leaning to the left. The sheets were an old brown. In fact, I guess I hadn't even bothered to tuck myself in. The ceiling had a gaping hole in it. A foul smell crept into my nose. I turned to my left, to be met with a patch of dried blood on an old, smashed feather pillow.

I yelped rolled over to my right, and off the side of the bed. I was met with the a solid oak floor. I muttered a curse before standing up, now fully awake. It was a small, shoddy hotel room. An old TV was across the room, the screen shatted and a second dried patch of blood was on the splintered glass. What the hell happened last night?

I need to get the hell out of here. The door was on the other side of the bed. I walked around the foot of the bed, which was rusted. But judging from what I've seen so far, it may not be rust. A crusted, brown pair of handprints dragged towards the doorway. I had no desire to see what lie ahead.

A disfigured duo of arms lie palms up, a long slash going down from the middle finger to the jutted out bone. My throat burned with acid. That's what the smell was. I put my hand out to the rusted - or bloody, but I'd prefer rust - bed post, and vomitted onto the floor. Who would do such a sickening prank?

I pushed myself back up and walked to the wooden door. I yanked on the brass knob. The door and frame shook, but to no avail didn't open. I took a step back, and charged at the door. As my shoulder made contact, the wood splintered into hundreds of pieces, going outwards in all directions. My skin was hit with jagged pricks, and I felt the small shards of wood cut my arm.

I stumbled into the hallway. Football in high school really payed off. Well, wherever I was, it was shoddy. There was only remnants of wallpaper left upon the walls. The floor was wood planks, not sanded. I looked at a number taped against the wall, 51600As I looked down the hallway, I a stairwell at the end, and the same thing for the other directin. It appeared like an apartment building. Why would they need 51600?
