1: Meeting a Mute

//Hello! Just a quick note before we start, any text that has quotations and is in italics, that is Kurloz performing sign language to communicate. Also, the songs at the top don't have anything to do with the story, it's just there to have something to listen to. If you're a Killing Stalking fan, this song will effect you a lot. :,) Anyways, on with the story!//

I am Meulin Lejion. I am 17 years old and attend Alternia High School. I currently live with my 13 year old sister and my mother, but I only have 1 year left after this one of high school. I'm a little upset that soon I'll have to leave home, but that means I'll be ready to take place for Mother in her writing career. I just can't wait.

Meulin had just woken up to the tone of a cat meow from her phone. She had turned it off and gotten out of bed. She goes to her closet and grabs a olive green sweater, a skirt, and black leggings, since it was slightly cold outside. After getting dressed, she hears her young sister, Nepeta.

"Meulin!! I need help with something!!"

Nepeta was Meulin'a 13 year old sister. She had worn her blue cat hat, a black sweater, and a large olive coat. She ran to Meulin and hugged her.

"Yes Nepeta?" "Well... There's this boy in my Maths and Art class who I like and.. I want to know how to tell him I like him!"

Meulin blushed. She has never had a boyfriend before. Not even a crush. But she knew who Nepeta was talking about. He was Kankri, one of Meulin's mutual friends, brother. Yes, he did have such a dirty mouth, but he knew better than to cuss around Nepeta.

"You know what, I think you should write him a letter and draw him a picture. I think he would appreciate it." "R-Really!? Thank you Meulin!!" "Haha.. Now go make my OTP canon sis." "Will do!!"

And with such encouragement, Nepeta ran off to her room Meulin chuckled as she heads to grab he backpack, just to get a kiss on the forehead from her mother.

"Heading off sweetie?" "Yeah. I have to get to the bus." "Alright then. See you later. Remember we're having the Maryams over for dinner, okay?" "Okay. Bye!"

With that, Meulin heads to school.

8:50 Homeroom
It was just the beginning of homeroom. It's about 20 minutes of socializing with your classmates before actual classes start. Today, the teacher had everyone in there seats.

"Everyone, we're having a new student join us today. This is Kurloz Makara. Tell everyone good morning Kurloz."

He raised he hand slightly. Everyone got confused at first.

"Good morning, I am Kurloz."

The majority of the class was confused.

"Kurloz it a mute, so he cannot speak. He uses sign language to communicate. In fact, Meulin! How about you tell everyone what Kurloz said, since you have been taking sign language the longest!" Meulin hesitated "Erm.. He said 'Good morning, I am Kurloz'."

Kurloz's face lit up with a blush since he never knew that someone in his class could understand him.

"I would like to sit next to Meulin. So she could help out a little." Meulin blushed as well, smiling softly "Only if it's fine with you Miss. Kurloz would like to sit next to me in class to help with work." "Ah, that's fine with me."

Meulin patted a desk next to hers with a soft smile. Kurloz has then joined her.

"Okay class, you may talk now. Homeroom will be over in 15 minutes"

"I didn't know anyone at the school could ever understand me." "Well, you have me!"

Meulin giggled. She began to admire Kurloz. He was kind and sweet.

"What do you have next? Mine is Maths." "Really? Same here! We even have the same lunch!"

Meulin points at Kurloz's schedule.

"We have a lot together. Expect I have PE and Art, and you have Athletics and Yearbook." "I guess I get to experience my first time at school with someone who shall become very close to me." "Yeah... I-I can't wait..!"

//Heyoooo. God this chapter is fucking long just for the first chapter compared to my other story. Funny thing is I'm not even in Highschool yet. I'm almost an 8th grader, lol. Well, for those of you who still read homestuck fanfiction and ship Kurloz and Meulin, this one is for you! I appreciate it if you could share this story with other scrubs like you! ^^//
