We ran down the staircase to the first floor—or so we thought. We ran here and there, trying to find for the front door where our only way out was at but we couldn't find it.

In fact, we had no idea where we were. Everything was so new and unfamiliar to us at that floor. We didn't even know if we were on the correct floor anymore.

And just when we realised that we might be on the wrong floor, we couldn't find the staircase. It was like as if it vanished. You started panicking as your breathing became heavy.

That was when I recalled you had claustrophobia. Even though the floor we were at was quite wide, I knew you were dying inside because you felt like there was no escape.

I tried calming you down but you wouldn't abide. Instead, you started blaming me for this.

"I hate you."

Those were the three words you uttered right after. Those were also the three words I wished you had not said because they were your final words before you disappeared.

You disapppeared in a blink of an eye...

right in front of me.
