Michael's POV
The single life had been pretty good. I had no worries to stress about and I didn't have to commit. That sounds really bad on my part but it was true. Even though I felt like I was completely lost without Y/N, I had to keep it pushing. Our break up was pretty bad, me leaving and pretty much not giving her an explanation as to why. But sometimes, things just need to happen instead of you being prepared.
Unfortunately, I slept with other women and that made me feel bad to do, but I was single. That's what a single man does right?!
But the person I'm turning into isn't the person who I know that I am. I'm not a player. I don't know where these player ways came from.
The more I had been thinking, the more I wanted my baby girl back. I wanted her soft kisses, her way of getting me to pay attention to her every move, being able to stare into those beautiful eyes, and simply everything about Y/N.
It was going to take so much though. I knew that she wouldn't bulge for anything and that I was have to make it worth while.
First, I could start with my apartment. I needed to clean up because it was a low key pigsty. I needed the area around me to be clean so my mind would be clean.
After I finished cleaning my studio apartment, I went to my phone and deleted all the contacts of whom I met after the split. All they were going to do is cause me trouble and I certainly didn't need that.
And then, the biggest task in the list.... calling her. Without a prepared list of what I would say and what I would ask, I dialed *67, her number and I began calling.
Nervousness took over me as I heard that angelic voice.
"Hello?"
"H-Hi Y/N can we talk?"
"Who is this?"
I began feeling nervous but I had to keep this going.
Your POV
As you answered the phone, Michael's voice became apparent. Being shocked was an understatement but you were going to play this cool. No more making Michael feel good that he knows how much you love and still love him. No more putting him on a pedestal.
"Who is this?"
"Alright, I deserve that. It's Michael."
"Oh. Hey." You say, rolling your eyes.
"I know things didn't end well with us but I would like to take the opportunity to talk and catch up. Could I meet you tonight around 7pm?
With a sigh, you take a couple seconds to think.
"That sounds good. I'll see you later."
With a short "goodbye" from Michael, you knew that even the phone exchange felt weird. No more "I love you, baby. Good bye." None of that.
Welp. We'll see how this meet up goes.......
