Eun Minji was getting ready to go to her new high school. She was just waiting in her room with her suitcase and bags.
"Minji? Are you ready to leave yet?" Minsoo yelled. Minsoo was Minji's older brother, but only by a few years. He kept knocking on her door but decided to slowly open it.
"I'm coming, I'm coming. I'm just saying goodbye to my room!" Minji yelled back. She took all her belongings and looked in the mirror.
She was leaving her home, family and school behind to go to her dream high school. It wasn't exactly her dream, to begin with. It all started when she was five years old.
"Where were you, Sehun?" She asked. "I was just getting this," five-year-old Sehun said. It was a small white rose. A smile grew on Minji's face.
"Thank you very much! Why are you giving it to me?" Minji added, holding onto the rose.
"It's very pretty like you! And, well I want you to be my girlfriend when we're sixteen!" Sehun cheered in happiness.
"This will make you know that you are going to be my only girlfriend!"
"Thank you so much!"
"And I promise that I'll become a famous singer when I'm sixteen and I'll never leave you!" Sehun announced.
"If only his parents didn't want him to move to a boarding school," Minji said to herself. Eun Minji wasn't what you qualified as a 'pretty' or 'popular' girl.
She wouldn't consider herself as someone who would talk to everyone in her class, she was a quiet girl. She'd rather be in an empty classroom and eat her lunch there, instead of the cafeteria, but this was also because she didn't have many friends.
Minji was wearing old sneakers, ripped jeans and a sweatshirt with her short bob and glasses. Even though she had doubt herself to attend Xoxo High, there was still hope in her.
"Okay, you can do this" She carried her bags out to the front of the house.
"Think you're ready to do this?" Minsoo asked.
"Of course! I've been waiting, practically my whole life!" Minji responded.
"Just make sure to take care of yourself alright? You're going to be one of the most intelligent people there!" Minsoo added.
"Well, I did get in by getting a scholarship," Minji laughed. She had lived in her house her whole life, and leaving Minsoo was going to be hard since the two had a good relationship.
"I can't believe that you're only bringing three bags to stay there?" Minsoo asked confusingly.
"I know, but I think that less is mo-"
"Well you see Minji, in our family, less is more but compared to the high up class, less is for the poor," Minoo interrupted. Minji seemed to understand where her brother was coming from.
A notification popped up onto Minji's phone. Her ride was nearly arriving. "Thanks, Minsoo. I'm sure I'll be able to survive and make friends!" Minji smiled.
"What's that in your bag?" He asked, pointing towards a clear container.
"Huh? A-ah! This is the thing that Sehun gave me before he left-"
"Where is my baby going? Have you packed everything? Toothbrush? Shirts? Spare undies?" Soojin said. Eun Soojin was Minji's mother.
"Mama! I've packed everything, so do not worry."
"Don't worry, Ji. We'll be able to meet each other again when we're older," Sehun said at the airport. "But do y-you have to l-leave?" Minji asked, wiping her tears.
