It was drizzling outside, cold wind making the tree branches dance to their tunes. It was 2 in the afternoon but sky was as black as a blackboard and she doubt it will clear any soon. Standing by the window, she wrapped her arms around herself, a small attempt to keep herself warm in the chilly weather. It was second week of December and weather has changed suddenly, but she couldn't complain. She loves when it rain. A small smile tugging at her lips, she continued to stare out of the window, enjoying the weather and let her mind relax. She needed this me-time, especially, after a tiring month at work. She was a wedding planner, a trustworthy and famous one at that. It took her three years to make an identity of her own in the business world. Her work keeps her busy, but it gives her happiness as well when she see her clients satisfied faces at the end of an event or wedding. Being wife of a billionaire, it was important for her to come out of her husband's shadow and be the independent she wanted to be. It gives her immense happiness and sense of being independent.

"Close the window, taani. You will catch cold." She was snapped out of her reverie after hearing her husband's voice from the door. She turned around in a jiffy moment and smiled softly seeing him standing at doorway with his luggage bag.

"Reyaansh, I thought you will be coming day after tomorrow." She walked over him, happy to see her husband after almost a week since he was out of the country on a business tour. Sometimes, she hates his work more than anything, it keeps him away from her, but then, handling an empire wasn't an easy task, but she was glad he had reduced the numbers of his business tours to a great level after their marriage. He doesn't go out of the country unless it's something really important and cannot be done without him.

"I got free early, so here I am." He mumbled under his breathe. He lifted his hand and tucked few strands of hair behind her ear.

"I missed you." She confessed. She slide her arms around him and hugged him, she pressed her body against him.

"I missed you, too," He whispered as he welcomed her in his embrace. His woodsy, manly smell engulfed her senses, making her remind how much she'd missed him.

"You get freshen up, I'll get you coffee." Taani told him as she pulled away from him, missing his warmth the next moment.

"And something to eat as well. I'm famished." He murmured.

"Sure." She gave a nod in response and walked out of the room while feeling somewhat content, having him back home with her. She didn't think she'd have been able to spent another sleepless night without him. Past few days were nothing but sheer torture, but she was glad, she was busy with her work, it somehow managed to take her mind off him, only for sometime, though. But as soon as she would enter the bedroom at nights, his absence haunted her.

She was hopeless when it comes to him or the phrase 'love is the synonym of madness' is true.

She descended down the stairs then walked inside the kitchen, to make some delicious meal for her husband. He loves the food cook by her, now. She wasn't a great cook since start. She was a pathetic cook when she got married, but even then he would eat everything cook by her with a smile. She knew he was being polite at that time, considering the fact they were practically strangers when they got married. It was an arranged marriage, of course.

After two months in cooking classes, she'd got pretty good cooking skills if not perfect, and practicing made it even better. Now she can proudly cook for him without having to assault his taste buds.

She started to take out the ingredients to make some pancakes with maple syrup along with a cup of hot coffee for him. She began cooking while her thoughts were wandering around her husband. He was different from others, and it didn't took her long to fall for him due to his gentleman behavior toward her. He treat her with respect.
