"Hey, Mom." Taani greeted her mother-in-law, Avantika who happily took her in her embrace before she pulled away and shifted her focus on her son. Taani watched with a small smile as her husband hugged his mother tightly and greeted her with a kiss on her cheek. Her husband share a nice bond with his mother compared to other family members, but still he maintain his distance from his mother as well, though he love her to bits.

As they moved inside the house, she met her father-in-law, Ranvijay singhania and her brother-in-laws, Aryan and Avinash singhania. Aryan is the CEO in his father's company whereas Avinash is a bollywood actor, they both are doing great in their respective fields. And she was happy for them. She shares a deep, friendly bond with both the singhania brothers unlike her husband.

Taani greeted them with a smile while noticing her husband who looked least interested. She rolled her eyes at him and moving closer to him, she held his arm which gained her his attention.

"Be nice." Taani muttered under her breathe.

"I am." He retorted. Taani shook her head and chose to not to say anything to him any further. After yesterday's lunch date, he was pretty happy, but now when she look at him, she could see restlessness and uneasiness in his eyes.

"Hello, son. How are you?" Ranvijay asked his son.

"I'm good." Reyaansh replied, awkwardly.

Taani wondered what's up with her husband. She'd noticed the strained relationship her husband share with his father and brothers, to be precise. There was a piece of puzzle missing. But before she could comprehend their equation, her mother-in-law indulged her in a conversation.

They all settled in the living area, the singhania mansion was huge. It was built beautifully with modern interior. The house was designed by her mother-in-law who is an interior designer, a best one at that.

She remember when she first time came to her in-laws' house, on a dinner planned by their families. It was to initiate the wedding alliance between her and Reyaansh.

"I heard you have bagged Mr. Wright's deal..." Ranvijay asked his son, starting the conversation.

"Yes. Someone tried hard to get the deal, but alas..." Reyaansh answered while eying his younger brother, Aryan with a knowing smirk which Taani knew very well. She was surprised to know Aryan was keen to get the deal as well which explained why her husband wanted the deal at any cost. Her husband can do anything but lose to his siblings. He was competitive and stop at nothing but victory, though it was something she admire in him, it irritate her at times as well.

"Manish and his family is coming as well." Ranvijay spoke and Taani felt her husband's body stiffen beside her at the mention of his father's brother. She had met them once, on her wedding day, of course. She doesn't know them much to comment, but knew her husband wasn't pleased with them.

"Taani, let's go. We are leaving." Reyaansh rose from his seat and turned to Taani. She could see rage in his eyes.

"But, Reyaansh... we are here for dinner." She reasoned, knowing it will be rude to leave like this.

"I don't care, damn it! Are you coming or not?" He yelled, making her flinch away. Though, she'd seen him angry, but not this much. And she won't lie by saying it wasn't scary.

Taani rose from her seat and her husband grabbed her hand in a tight grip.

"You know how I feel about them yet you invited them... invited him. It was expected from dad, but you disappointed me, mom." Reyaansh turned to his mother and his eyes didn't failed to convey his anger and disappointment.
