I woke up hearing my phone ring.

Incoming Call :

I laughed to myself. I gotta change that contact name. I answered the phone..

"Good morning See See !"

"Shut up Marcus", I said laughing.

"Oh so no good morning back ?"

"No, since you wanted to yell See See in my ear."

"That's cold See See.", he said laughing.

"My name's not See See, Mar Mar."

"Mar Mar ? The fuck ?", he said making me crack up.

"It's not funny SEE SEE !", he said getting louder saying See See.

"It is funny MAR MAR. Before we start going back and forth, what did you call for MAR MAR ?", I said yelling Mar Mar twice.

"Well, SEE SEE, I was gonna ask if you wanna hang today."

"Maybe later today MAR MAR."

"Ok SEE SEE, call me later."

"Alright MAR MAR, bye."

"Ok SE-", I cut him off by hanging up on him and texted him.

He didn't text back so I showered, brushed my teeth, and started to go downstairs..until I heard moaning in Bri's room. Nasty ass ! I past the room and went downstairs. The house had cups and bottles scattered across the table. The hell was they doing while I was sleeping ? I texted my Mom, knowing that she's probably pissed off.

I was at Bri's house all day and fell asleep. I forgot to call you.

Guess she didn't buy it. I couldn't go straight home right now if I wanted to, Bri was being nasty upstairs and she's my ride. I decided to call Marcus.

"Mar Mar, can you pick me up ? Pleaseeee ?"

"Stop calling me that See See. Where you at ?"

"Nooo and I'm at Bria's house if you remember where it is."

"Yeah I remember, I'll be there in a few See See."

"Ok Ma-", he cut me off by hanging up. This nigga.

5 Minutes later he was at Bri's door knocking.

"Bria ! I'm leaving ! I hear you doing the nasty !", I yelled while opening the door.

Marcus stood there laughing.

"Oh, you heard that ?", I asked laughing.

"Haha, yeah.. I did."

He put his arm around me and walked me to his car. He opened the door for me saying 'ladies first' which made me laugh.

"Corny.", I said while he closed the door.

"But you like it.", he said winking while closing his own door.

I gave him the directions to my house but made him stop around the corner. I didn't want my mom seeing me getting out of a guys car. She would have a whole list of questions for me when I get inside. I hugged Marcus and got out of the car. I walked the rest of the short distance to my house. As soon as I got inside I heard my Mom.

"Serena !"

"Yes ?"

"I know you want your 'freedom' but you can't just leave a full day without calling.", she said putting air quotations around the word freedom.

"I know I'm sorryyyy.", I said while going up to my room.

"Yeah, sure !", my Mom yelled from the kitchen.

I sat in my room texting some people but one stood out in particular, Rashad.

Come hang with me a bit ? For like 20 mins max.

To-Rashad

Alright I'll be down in a bit, I can't stay long though.

I went downstairs and told my Mom that I was gonna run to the corner store really quick. I met Rashad on the other side of my apartment complex.

"Hey Serena.", Rashad said hugging me from behind.

"Hi Rashad. So, what did you want ?", I asked pulling away.

"I just wanted to hang a lil."

"Okaayyy.", I said stretching the word 'okay'.

We walked around and talked. I knew he had a crush on me and it wasn't a secret. We both just never acted on it.

After 15 minutes I decided I should go home, we were running out of things to talk about anyways. He walked me back to my apartment and hugged me.

"Bye Serena.", he said still hugging me.

"Bye Rashad..", I said pulling myself from him.

When I got inside it seemed that my Mom left to go somewhere. 'Yesss !', I yelled in my thoughts. Since Marcus was coming over later that would be perfect.

2 hours later...

I waited for about 30 minutes and Marcus wasn't here yet. An hour passed by and he still wasn't here. Then another hour and another until he finally knocked on my door. More like pound.

"Mar Mar, you're really late. I thought you weren't coming."

He stormed pass me without even acknowledging me, well damn. He sat on my couch looking like he was gonna explode.

"Marcus, what's wrong with you ?"

"Who was that ?", he asked.

"Who ?", I asked looking around confused.

"Who was that nigga ?", he asked looking more pissed.

"What nigga ?", I asked still confused.

"YOU KNOW WHO THE FUCK I'M TALKING ABOUT SERENA ! WHO WAS THAT NIGGA YOU WAS WITH !?", he said yelling in my face.

"Calm the fuck down. He's just someone I know.", I said scooting away from him.

"Why are you so mad ?", I asked from a safer distance.

He looked calmer than before and started scratching the back of his head, "Sorry, I had a rough day."

"It's alright...", I said looking at him.

I disregarded what happened but it popped back into my mind a couple of times during the rest of the day.

Why did he pop off like that ? We're not even together. How did he even know that I was with Rashad ?
