We walk out the hotel and Tyler pulls out his GPS. "Okay so you wanna go to the mall first?" I look at the map. "Sure," I shrug. "It's the closest thing to us." With that we start walking. As we walk we talk and look around. After about 5 minutes of silence I feel Tyler looking at me, but I act like I don't notice.
   "Pai Pai?"
   I look up. "Yeah?"
I already knew where this was going. "I saw what Brittney said," he looked up at me, but I turned away. "Why didn't you tell me? You know I hate it, and I know it gets to you." I stop walking and sit on bench, and Tyler follows. "Exactly. I know how much you hate it so I just don't mention it because it makes both of us in a bad mood." He picks at his fingernails. "Well, Pai, can u just tell me next time? It just gets worse and worse. You don't deserve that.
A tear streams down my face and pulls me into a tight hug. "It's gonna be okay, I promise." I don't say anything, I just keep hugging him. Once he lets go he stands up and sticks his hand out. "Ready?" I smile and take his hand. "Ready."
We walk down the streets, through traffic, and 5 minutes later we are here. "Dangggg this thing is huge," Tyler whistles. "They will have so much stuff I can buy." Tyler just looks at me and we both start laughing. As we walk in it feels like everyone is staring at us. I feel very out of place, so I start walking behind Tyler. "Why is everyone staring at us?" He looks back and whispers, "Well, we are kids walking into a New York mall alone, so that could be a reason." I shrug. "That makes sense." I see this store with a whole bunch of keychains and stuff. "Lets go there," I say, pointing to the store. "Okay sure." When I say this store has so much stuff, it does. "Oh my lord. There are so many keychains."
I see a category that says 'best friends'. I point to it and walk over to the shelves. "These are so fruity Pai," Tyler says with a disgusted face. I pick one up and I show it to him. "Not this one." It was a two keychains that connected together and one part said 'savage' and the other said, 'af'
"We have to get this," I smirk, shaking the keychains. "Then lets go. I'll pay for the keychains and you can pay for to get our names on the back of each of our pieces?" I shake hands with him. "Deal." We walk over to the cashier and she smiles. "What do you two want one the keychains?"  "The savage part to say 'Ty'," says Tyler. "And the other part to say 'Pai Pai'," I finish. She walks away and in about two minutes she's back with them. "Here you go," age says handing them to us. "Thank you," Tyler says and we stop outside the entrance to look at them.
"These are so cool," I say taking a picture with Tyler with our keychains and posting it on instagram. "New York is lit!" I look at him  and just laugh. We walk around a bit more, then head out.
