The car ride home from the hospital felt like forever. I had been up most of the night and got up fairly early in the morning. My eyelids slipping in and out of sleep.

"We're nearly back at yours Miya." Zayn talks to me from the drivers side.

"Good." I smile, wearily.

As I got into bed with Zayn by my side all my worries went away, sleep came easy that night.

School stayed the same after everything that happened. School kids get bored and move onto another gossip or drama a week later. You become old news quickly. Which is nice. I've never enjoyed being the center of attention. School was quite without Veronica. I secretly think her little clique were pleased she got sentenced. But every queen has to be overthrown.

As I put my books into my locker after chemistry I see them walk down in a line holding hands, like something from Mean Girls. But only Brandy and Crystal. The seemed so weak compared to Veronica when she was at school. But together they look frightening.  Crystal walks down the corridor her head up high and her ego even higher. I should be more afraid as in those two girls as they probably are the ones that joined a 'I hate Miya' club not too long ago. As Harry said, most people were behind Colby. But I wondered, where was Amber? They would of been a holy trinity of bitches just instead of a twosome. So I took a keep breath and cut in front of them.

"Hey, wheres Amber?" I coughed.

"Scuse you?" Chrystal spits.

"I was just wondering where Amber is in all of this." I use my fingers to circulate they're hand holding.

"She's dead..." Brandy puts on a sad expression.

"Wha-what?!"

They both laugh in unison. "Stupid girl, she's just dead to us. Probably in the library sucking off a geek as the football team don't want her anymore." They giggle and skip off to their next class.

"They fell out? Interesting." I said in my head.

For some reason I thought Amber might actually be in the library, I was wrong. Just the usual library crowd. I go to look at Oscar Wildes work when the book in my hand falls to the floor. Two hands I do not know pick it up for me. A very good looking man, ripped, tanned skin and dark hair.

"You dropped this." He says handing it to me.

"Thanks." I don't linger much but then he taps me on the shoulder as I turn away.

"I see you around all the time in here."

"Well yeah." I laughed. "I go to school here! I don't recognize you. I usually recognize everybody at this school." I lift my right eyebrow.

"No one really notices me. I'm going to be honest, I'm a bit too old to be here."

I step back. "What do you mean by that?"

"No, no nothing like that. I failed my exams I've been held back a few years. I haven't always been on my best behavior. I've moved from multiple schools."

I take a sigh of relief. "Oh, I see. Your a bit of a bad boy then?"

"You could say that." He winks at me.

I laugh awkwardly. "Well I better be on my way... Wait, I didn't catch your name?"

"Urh." He freezes. "Jacob. Could you meet me for lunch? I don't know many people here."
