Shine

POV Juliana 

"Hi guys I guess we're working together" I say looking at Scott and Eric. 

They both nod nicely at me. 

"Does anyone have any ideas?" Scott asks looking at me and Eric. 

"Well, how about this dude who steals some dope from a bank and meets this girl and kidnaps her and uses her to get more money" Eric says. 

Its actually not that bad. 

"Uhmmm, Actually I like that" I say smiling to him. 

Scott nods in agreement. 

I have to be brave. I have to give more input. 

"The only thing I'd say you could change or add is maybe this guy/ criminal has a brother and they're running from the police and whilst robbing the bank he comes across this girl, kidnaps her and takes her with them. Maybe grow a romance between the two" I say feeling quite proud of what I said. 

"That's a great idea Juliana" Scott says 

"Lana, call me Lana".

He nods sweetly at me and looks back at Eric. 

"Does there have to be romance?" Eric asks sighing. 

"Yes. I think it brings out more of a narrative" Scott says defending me. 

I smile and nod. 

"Okay... Fine" Eric says. 

Scott turns round and puts up his hand for a high five. 

We high five and so do me and Eric and Scott and Eric. 

Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought it would be... 

"I'll go tell Sir our idea and see whether he lets us go to the next stage" Eric says running towards Mr Drew. 

"Sir" I hear in the distance coming from Eric. 

I sit with Scott in silence till he lets out a big sigh, turns to me and says 

"Hey, Lana... I'm sorry about what Kai said earlier. He's such a dick. It was horrible and you didn't deserve it. And I'm also sorry about your dad's passing, it must be very hard for you". 

Yes, yes it is but I can't tell you that 

"Well I'm getting by. And why do you put up with Kai if hes such a dick?" I ask being nosy. 

"Promise you won't tell?" He asks smirking. 

"Yes, I promise" I say smiling back. 

He moves closer to me and says 

"He's pretty wealthy and if we're clever enough he ends up paying for everything". 

At first I thought it was awful but then I realised he's a prick and he deserves it so I start laughing and he joins in. 

"Hey, Sir loves it... What are you guys laughing about?" Eric says looking at us weirdly. 

"Ohh, nothing! That's great" I say trying to force the smile down. 

"Yeah, great so I'm thinking we should meet up sometime this week to start planning this together" Scott suggests. 

We both nod in approval. 

"I'm free Saturday" Eric says. 

"So am I" Scott says. 

They both look at me...

"Yeah, same" I say whilst nodding. 

"Okay great who's house shall we go to?" Eric asks. 

"You can come to mine if you want" I offer nervously. 

"Sounds awesome. Is 11 okay?" Scott replies. 

I nod. 

"Where do you live?" Eric questions. 

"Grey Way in Ashley about 10 minutes away from here. Its number 4. It's on a busy road so if you turn in and press the buzzer and say your name someone will let you in" I try to explain. 

"Okay cool. In case I get lost can I have your number?" Scott asks. 

"Yeah same". 

"Course" 

I say.

I give the boys my number and they write down my address. 

DING!

The bell goes. 

Lunch... 

"We have a lesson on Friday when you can work on it then... See you all later" Mr Drew shouts as we leave in a hurry. 

We all leave the hall well mannered. 

"see you later... Lana" Scott says grabbing my hand. 

"Yeah, bye" I say as I walk the other way and his grip slowly loosens. 

What a great lesson!
