Chapter 1: Willing
"Ok class. Open your texts books to page 124" their teacher Mr.Smith told his class. "But before we talk about math, I have something to tell you students" the teacher said. "Are we going on a trip"? one kid asked. "Or maybe we have no more tests" another one yelled out. "No, it has nothing to do with that. Now, our principal told me yesterday that they have entered our school in a speech competition" he said. "Now, each class needs 2 representatives to read for them and then the best 2 that the school likes will compete in the nationals" Mr.Smith finished. "So who will it be"? Ella asked the teacher. "Well, does anyone want to volunteer"? Mr.Smith asked his class. No one raised up their hands except one kid named Joshua. Not much people like him because he thinks he knows everything and is annoying. "I would love to read" he said with a big smile ok his face. The teacher wrote his name down on a piece of paper. "And I need one more student to do this" Mr.Smith announced. Everyone looked down at ground including Alex. That's when the bell for recess rang and everyone got up, grabbed their jackets and ran outside. Alex tried to leave quickly until the teacher called him out. "Alex, can you stay for a bit because I need to talk to you about something".
