(From my story I never finished writing, "Pierced My Heart")
•Description: This story is about when two girls find the haunted Legend Of Zelda game and BEN Drowned makes his appearance known.
The story I'm about to tell you begins on a stormy, winter night. Lily and I were curled up by the fireplace, playing on an old gaming system we discovered in the attic. It was a dusty, old thing that had a cartridge stuck in it. Knowing Lily and I, we just had to investigate it.The cartridge was small, yet bigger than a Gameboy cartridge. It was bulky and seemed to only fit a certain console. That console appeared to be a Nintendo 64. This was the system we were currently playing.
You see, there's a tale behind this certain game. A tale that may or may not be real. Lily and I sure hoped it was real. We've seen this game before and talked to a certain website in order to prove our questions true.
"It's raining harder," Lily sighed, glancing out the window, "I thought you said it would lighten up."
"It's just a little storm. We'll be okay." I smiled softly at her.
Right after I said that, a huge roar of thunder echoed throughout the house. The pictures shook. The windows flung open, swinging around rapidly. Our forgotten piles of homework were now scattered across the floor.
"Waverly! Do you really think this is is a little storm?" Lily shot up, her long jet black hair was tangling up behind her.
'What a perfect 3 months to leave your daughter and her best friend home alone' I silently cursed my parents.
Lily and I ran throughout the house, locking all the windows tightly shut. The crystal clear windows were now filled with stained rain drops and more and more water running down the glass.
All of a sudden we heard a sound.
Not just any sound. More like a song. A song with no words, just the melody. It wasn't the orginal version of this song. It seemed to be playing backwards. Like someone reversed the track. The melody sounded familiar. I've heard it before, but from where?"D-Do y-you hear t-that?" I asked, shaking slightly.
"It sounds like s-someone is in t-the room with us, p-playing this s-song backwards." She replyed, stuttering.
And at that moment, it stopped. There was no noise, except for the rain tapping on the rooftop and windows. It was silent. We began to see colors. Many colors might I add, flashing from the TV.
Our game had froze. You could no longer see the little green elf you had to play. All you saw was a statue and colors. The lights began to flick on and off. The rain outside seemed to stop. The song came back on. Louder this time. It grew louder, and louder, and louder. It hurt. I don't know why, but it did.
Lily and I fell to the floor, holding our ears. I felt like my life was slowly drifing away from me. I knew it wasn't, but it still felt that way. The colors showed again, but this time, there were only four.
Black, white, red, and green.
Lily nudged my arm and I looked up. Words appeared on the screen. They looked like they were written in blood. As real as blood looked on a TV, that is. It read a total of 8 words, followed by a question mark.
'You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?'
Majora's Mask.
Then, the lights went out completely.
"BEN?"
