Dedicated to @sieannarowe

It was Christmas day. My best friend, Cassie, was sitting on the couch next to me while our families waited impatiently for us to open our last gifts. They told both of us to shut our eyes and hold out our hands, and we did. We sat there for about 2 minutes until I felt a box being set in my lap. I had my eyes closed, but I sensed that Cassie had a box set in her lap as well. Once our parents told us to open our eyes, we stared at the box slightly confused, because the box was wrapped so we couldn't even see what was inside of it even if our eyes were open. My first thought was to literally just come out and ask why the heck we had to close our eyes if the box was wrapped, but instead I just looked at Cassie and we shared a look of annoyance and confusion. On the count of three, we tore through the wrapping paper and ripped open the boxes. We gasped and pulled out the red Magcon hoodie. Cassie and I quickly threw them on and shoved our hands in the hoodie pocket. I froze and pulled out a slip of paper, and so did Cassie. You have to trust me on this, we screamed as loud as a banshee on the night of Halloween. In our hands we held two tickets to meet the Magcon family, and the journey was just beginning.

Today was the day we meet the Magcon Family. I could barely sleep for the past three weeks. How could I? Shawn Mendes is with Magcon, which means I get to meet the boy who has inspired me to sing and just keep me steady. I just want to thank him for everything he has done for me and for all of his fans. I glanced over at Cassie, who was driving and singing the lyrics to "The Pantaloon" by Twenty One Pilots. She loved Matthew Espinosa. He always made her feel special and made her smile whenever she was in her moods. I laughed and took a look in the mirror at my dark chocolate eyes. I fixed my straight dark brown hair and positioned it so it was being draped over both of my shoulders. I glared at my prescription square framed glasses that were sliding down my face and slumped back down into the front seat.

"How much longer?" I whined.

"About an hour." Cassie sighed and changed the song and started singing "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic at The Disco.

"WHAT THE F***!"

She shrugged and then sharply turned the steering wheel in order to dodge the car that was about to hit her, "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING YOU FRICK!"

25 minutes later

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"Yes."

"REALLY?"

"No."

I glared a her and yanked out the aux cord and in exchange received a look of utter horror and disgust and a hint of offense. I simply smiled and plugged in my phone and told her to focus on the road. I insisted that since we were about to meet Shawn Mendes, it's only fair to listen to his angelic voice before we compare it to the real thing. To be honest that didn't last long until Hannah Montana songs began playing through my phone. We took one glance at each other until we burst into song and danced, while trying not to get into a wreck.

The Meet and Greet was being held in some really nice hotel hall, so when we pulled up, our jaws dropped. I wasn't sure if it was because we were about to meet the Magcon Family, or it was just that Cassie and I have never been to such a nice hotel before. We shook off the shock and desperately tried to find a parking space. It was like we were pirates searching for the pirates booty. It was slightly impossible, but you know, X marks the spot and we found a parking space. I unbuckled my seat belt, or at least tried, because it got stuck and I looked like a prisoner trying to find his way out of one of those straight jackets.
