My eyes widened as I recognized him as being the same man I ran into this morning on the train. Well this is a small world. He walked over to the desk and placed his bag down looking back up at the class. "Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Anderson and I will be your new English teacher for this year." He said sending a warm smile out to everyone. "I expect a lot of hard work from you all and to show me the same respect you would show to Miss. Waller." He said his smile going away, being replaced with a more serious expression. Everyone groaned as he said that knowing that when a teacher said they expected hard work from you, it means their class will be full of homework and projects. He walked to his desk and pulled out a sheet of paper.

"Now, time for attendance. When I say your name please raise your hand and say here." I looked at him, my eyes sweeping over his features and his body. His eyes were a deep blue, reminding me of the ocean. He had black hair and I could only imagine what his body looked like under his tight-fitting clothes.

"Miss. Keith?" He said looking up from his piece of paper. "Here" I said as I could feel my cheeks turning red and raised my hand. He stopped and stared at me with a look of surprise on his face before quickly composing himself and moving onto the next name on the list.

"Now I know this is the first class of the year and you expect an easy day with limited or no homework but I'm sorry to disappoint as that will not be happening in this class." He said as once he finished with attendance. "You will all be writing a 4-page essay on one of Shakespeare's plays. It will be due this Friday." Everyone groaned as he started walking around the classroom handing out sheets of papers. I looked up and stretched out my hand when he walked to my desk. He quickly placed the piece of paper in my hand without looking at me, moving onto the next person. After he was done handing out the pieces of paper, he walked back up to the front of the class.

"Now does anyone have any questions..." He said looking around the classroom as most of the girl's hands went up. Oh great, we're going to be here all day I thought to myself. "Miss. Keith, do you have something to say?" He said giving me a stern look. I realized I must've said that out loud and I quickly shook my head no before looking away from his gaze. He faced the classroom again and continued "pertaining to the assignment?" All the girl's hands went down and they averted their gaze, suddenly finding their desks quite interesting. I never felt more relieved than when I heard the bell ring a second later, talk about being saved by the bell.

Everyone started filing out and I heard Mr. Anderson call my name. "Miss. Keith, please stay behind for a moment." He said not looking pleased at all and returning to sit behind his desk. I turned around and walked back to his desk. "Yes Sir?" I said meeting his gaze.

"I do not tolerate disrespect in my classroom, especially disrespect of my students. I expect to see you in detention today after school."

"But Sir I didn't do anything." I said giving him my hardest glare.

"Detention Miss. Keith." He said waving his hand to dismiss me.

"Asshole!" I said under my breath.

"I heard that. Would you like another detention?" He said giving me a hard look before turning his focus to his computer.

I quickly turned around mad and hit my side on the edge of his desk.

"Fuck!" I said in a loud voice.

"Detention!" He said not even looking up from his computer.

I quickly grabbed my side and slowly walked out of his class heading towards the bathroom. After checking to make sure no one was in there, I set my stuff down and started taking off my shirts. The bandage had come undone and it was starting to bleed again where I hit Mr. Andersons desk. I quickly grabbed some paper towels and pressed them to the area, sucking in a deep breath. I couldn't go to my other classes looking like this so I sent a quick text to Justin telling him I was in the bathroom and if he would mind coming with some bandages. He quickly replied.

Be there in a minute

I smiled lightly. He wasn't joking when he said a minute, he arrived in 45 seconds. We used to date when my dad was still alive and we were a happy family. Once my dad died, I lost it and called it off with Justin. But that didn't stop him from coming over and trying to comfort me. He spent the night once which caused my brother to get mad. He made Justin leave and then started hitting me. Justin saw me the next day at school and knew something was up when I couldn't stand properly. I begged him not to say anything and that my brother was just going through a phase. Ever since then, he took care of me when this would happen. He walked into the bathroom and gently wrapped his arms around me. I leaned into him and after a little while he let go. He grabbed some bandages and ointment from his bag and started repairing me up.

"Mr. Anderson gave me detention for the next two days." I said looking at myself in the mirror.

"Don't go." He said looking up at me worry sketched on his face.

"I wasn't planning on it."

I remember last time I got detention, I came home to my brother with a bottle in his hand waiting in front of the door for me. Luckily, it was the beginning of the weekend meaning I didn't have to go to school for two days. My brother leaves during the weekend going who knows where but always coming home Sunday night, completely waisted and mumbling nonsense.

Justin handed me my tops when he was done bandaging me up.

"Thank you so much." I say as tears start forming in my eyes. I quickly blink them away but he already saw. He gently grabs me and pulls me into his arms where I feel safe and secure. We stay like that for a long time until he received a message from James asking where we were. I didn't realize we had been in the bathroom for that long. We slowly pull apart and he grabs my bag as we head towards the cafeteria.

The rest of the school day went by quietly. I wasn't really paying attention in any of my other classes, knowing the first day of school was mostly made up of going over the rules and regulations and what was expected of us. Mr. Anderson popped into my head and I wondered why he gave us such a big assignment on the first day of class. I remember the way his eyes looked at me, I could get lost in those eyes.

I quickly shook my head clearing the thought from my mind as the bell rang signaling the end of the school day. I quickly packed my things up and headed out meeting up with my friends and saying farewell before heading towards the train station.

"Funny to see you here." I quickly turned around to see Mr. Anderson staring at me.

I ignored him and waited for the train to arrive.

"You know I remember giving you a detention today." He said, amusement laced in his voice.

"Sorry must have forgotten." I said not meeting his eyes.

"Yeah right" He said with a colder voice this time.

"Bipolar much." I said as the train arrived.

He quickly grabbed my arm as I started walking towards the train. I winced and tried to not close my eyes from the pain. He must've noticed because he let go and stepped back.

"What happened?" He said concern in his voice.

"I pulled a muscle running the other day." I said.

He must've believed me because he didn't question any further and instead pointed to the train which was stopped. We both got on and I moved as far away from him as I could, taking a seat across from an elderly couple.

When it was my stop, I got off not paying any attention to Mr. Anderson and started walking home relieved when I didn't see any sign of my brother being there. I grabbed some food from the kitchen and headed up to my room, making sure to lock my door before getting to work on the homework assigned.

That night I went to bed thoughts of Mr. Anderson turning in my mind.
