Chapter 1

In the abyss of darkness there was no light only black, but then a light appeared shinning bright it was a person. Every time it’s the same he walks around looking lost with glowing foot prints that followed him wherever he went. The more he tried to get out, the more the darkness seemed to surround him a never ending black hole covering that once bright light turning it into a flame struggling to stay alight in the wind. Eventually the darkness had engulfed the only light in this dark world completely and it seemed like he was about to give into the black when out of know where the light was back but instead of surrounding him it was coming from inside of the him. It was as if someone had lit an inferno inside of him, the fires burnt on and on getting stronger and harder to handle the flames looked like they were the sun itself. The flames were roaring up and out unable to be contained anymore and just as the dancing flames were about to consume the person he passed out……

The room was bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun lighting up the dull grey walls with its warmth, the sunlit room looked as if it were on fire the light dancing around the bedroom. A person was sitting upright on the now wet bed he had raven black hair dripping water droplets into his eyes that are light blue filled with strength and power. Next to him stood a young girl with a cheeky grin that spread across her freckly face, her long brown hair fell into her puppy dog brown eyes. She looked to be around four or five and was holding an empty bucket standing next to the guy in the bed. The little girl broken the silence and started rolling on the floor laughing. “What the hell did you do that for?!?” yelled the drenched guy who was now fuming

“Max don’t be a kill joy” she said after getting up off the floor and controlling her laughter “I woke up and went to see if you were getting ready for school and…well…you weren’t, but you were tossing and turning in you sleep and had broken into a hot sweat so I cooled you down”

“Thanks but next time can you just wake me up normally?”  Max had now started smiled at her wide grin that had spread even wider; he couldn’t stay angry at her for long with her puppy dog eyes starting up at him. “Aww but that’s no fun” she said trying to keep down the laughter that is starting to bubble up again “oh and by the way you are going to be late for school if you don’t hurry” she said while tapping at her wrist that had no watch.

Max jumped out of bed and got dressed into his school uniform which consisted of a white collared shirt with an emerald coloured neck tie, plain black pants and a black blazer with light green trimming. After he was dressed he ran down stairs grabbing a piece of toast and running out of the house while trying to yell good bye to his mother and sister with the toast still in his mouth.

Max ran as fast as he could up the hill and towards the school, he slowing down until he had stopped half way up the hill and turned around. “I thought that I felt someone watch” he thought whilst scanning the area “I guess it was just my imagination” and then Max started to run back up the hill

Watch from a far in a dark alleyway was a young girl who looked to be around fifteen or sixteen, she had long blonde hair with blue ends. “That was close I didn’t make a sound and he still herd me, that then means he felt my aura but how is that possible. So what the headmistress said must have been true this boy is new protector, the chosen one that will one day lead our world out of the dark and cold into the warmth of the suns light. I can feel this overwhelming power coming from him, but can he really be the one?”
