"Fordsie~" Bill crooned, ducking under the high- low to him in his enlarged form- archway, twins in hand, "Look who I caught!"

"Let them go!" Ford yelled, slamming a clenched fist into the glowing blue bars.

"As soon as you give me the equation, of course I will!" Bill laughed, shaking the twins in his hand.

"Fine, fine..." Ford consented, offering his hand, "Just put Dipper and Mabel down."

"Finally coming to your senses, Fordsie?" Bill would have smiled if he had a mouth, "Alrighty then." Bill coated his hand in his trademark blue flames, shoving it in... Stan's face?

"Well, you gonna shake or not, Sixer?" Bill laughed again, "You didn't think you could trick me by switching clothes did you?" Stan's- who was now revealed to be Ford- face fell. He looked into Bill's eye, as he gripped the younger set of twins tighter.

"NO!" Dipper screeched, pounding his tiny fists into Bill's enlarged finger, "Don't give in Grunkle Ford!"

"Oh? And what are you gonna do kid?" Bill rotated his eye to face him.

"I... I..." Dipper drew in a shaky breath, "I'll make a deal with you."
Bill stared for a moment, the air tense. Suddenly, he burst into uncontrollable laughter, the sound echoing off the futuristic walls.

"And what could you possibly offer to me?"

"In exchange for my family's safety from you and your minions, I will offer you my independence," Dipper looked at Bill's finger, hands clenched into white knuckled fists.

"That sounds interesting, but why should I want that instead of the equation?" Bill questioned, loosening his death grip slightly.

"Because, I'm smarter than Ford, he just has more experience. If I worked for you, then I could figure out the equation for you and would have one of the Mystery Twins that have been causing you so much trouble," Dipper explained sullenly.

"So basically, I gain a powerful pawn, neutralize a threat, and gain the equation to leave the town," Bill reiterated, "Sounds good to me, but why? Aren't you asking for the same thing Sixer did? Why give me all the extra benefits?"

"Because Ford only asked for us to be freed, he never asked for protection," Dipper explained, "He assumed you would let us be for the rest of our lives where in reality you could have gained the equation then snatched us back up again to eliminate your greatest threat."

Ford blinked owlishly. He had assumed that.

"You are smarter than Sixer, kid, I'll give you that," Bill said, "So, your family's freedom and protection from me and anything under my rule, in exchange for your freedom?"

"My family's protection from anything," Dipper clarified, knowing the demon would find a loophole somewhere in the previous statement.

"Fine, fine, it's a deal," the demon said as he shrank to his regular size. He dropped Mabel and Dipper on their backsides and stuck out a flame-coated hand. Dipper sighed and went to grip Bill's hand. Before he could though, Mabel grabbed his wrist, tears in her usually vibrant eyes.

"Bro-bro, please don't do this," she whispered.

"I'm sorry Mabel," Dipper smiled, tears in his eyes as well, "Don't give up, okay?"

Dipper wrenched his wrist out of his sister's grip and shoved his hand into Bill's.

"Alright, Pine Tree. Let's get started," Bill said, letting go of Dipper's hand.

"Dipper!" Mabel yelled, reaching for him again. Bill snapped his fingers and she, along with the Stans, were teleported back to the Shack.

"We're all alone now," Bill stated, snapping his fingers again. His triangular form morphed into that of an attractive male human's. He had a blond hair with a brown undercut, a black triangle eyepatch over his right eye, and extra sharp canines. He was in a gold and black three-piece suit and a black top hat that floated above his head.
