~Chapter 2~ The Hard Part

*Sonic's Point of View*

"W-what happened?" My eyes were still closed I felt dizzy, nothing but pitch darkness. I heard sobbing and felt a soft gentle hand on my stomach. I think it was tears that dropped to my skin. I opened my eyes slowly my vision still blurry. My eyes finally focused and I saw a familiar face, "A-Amy...?" I said with a calm soft voice. She looked at me gleefully, "SONIC!!!! Ur okay!!!!" She hugged me continuing to cry. I let her hug me as I looked around, I asked, "Umm... Where is everyone? Were you the only one that is still here?" She let go of me and nodded looking down at herself. She cried again, "I'm so sorry." I held her by her shoulders and looked in the eye wiping her tears with one hand, "Don't cry. We will get our friends back, I promise. But we got to stay strong." She nodded and smiled a bit. She sighed and looked down again, "Where are they?" I got up and looked at the sky thinking, "Well, someone to knock me down and steal my friends, I think it smells like rotten egg." Amy's eyes widen as she got up and stood next to me, "Do you think it's Eggman? If it was why didn't that THING take you?" I looked at her and shrugged, "Good thinking, but who else is the villain in our story?" I look at the camera, "NO SPOILERS READERS!" I look back at Amy. Amy nodded, "Yeah. I guess you're right." So our only explanation is Eggman." I nodded, "Okay, well we got to go to-" Suddenly a Santa Clause laugh interrupted our conversation, "HO HO HO!! Nice thinking Sonic. You found out that it was me. But you really think I'm going to make it that easy? Think again blue rat." He then shined a laser at me zapping me. My body froze I could barely move, I heard Amy yelling my name. I turned around to look at her and noticed she took out her hammer, but before she could do anything Eggman caged her in a glass. She tried breaking it with her hammer but it was no use. She dropped her hammer and looked at me from the glass crying, still screaming my name. I looked at Eggman trying to break free. Eggman finally turned off the laser and let me go. I crouched on my hands and knees panting heavily while looking down at the ground, "Let....Amy.... go." I gasped taking breaths between my words. Eggman smirked, "Sure thing. I have fun trying to stop me regularly with a girl who you try to avoid." I looked up at him with a mighty rage, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN???!!" He laughed and let me go, "HO HO HO!!! See you." He left flying on his flying egg thing. Amy hurried and rushed towards me, "Are you okay??" I got up wobbly, Amy helped me keep my balance. When I finally got my balance I looked at her with a smile, "I'm glad you are not hurt." The tears in her eyes ran down her cheeks, "Never mind me. What about you? Are you okay? What did Eggman do to you?!" I looked at my hands legs and stomach, but nothing has changed, "I'm not quite sure. Do you think that was for show?" Amy shook her head, "Highly doubt it, but whatever it was, hopefully it wasn't anything major." I thought about what Eggman said, "What did he meant by regularly" Amy shrugged, "I'm not sure." I shook my head, "Okay well, that's nothing to worry about. Lets go super Sonic speed to Egghead's lair." Amy smiled, "I'm ready when you are!" I smiled and picked her up but fell, "Ow" We both said at the same time. I looked at my arms, "Why...? You feel heavy." Amy blushed and looked down, "I only gained 3 pounds!!!" She crossed her arms angrily. I look at her and shake my hands out in front of her in a jazz and nervous way, "No no no, it's not like that. Sorry. I'll just give you a piggyback ride." I turned around as she got on my back. I felt her weight on me. I try to fight it and I just start running. Suddenly I felt the whole world around me going slow. Suddenly Amy tapped my shoulder, "Are you okay? Am I that heavy?" I shook my head and stopped, "No, it's not you. Just hold on get off me. I need to test something." She gets off my back and I pause for a bit as we both stared in silence. I run again but I noticed that I run the exact same speed as everyone else. I wanted to run faster so I ran as fast as I can. Then I heard Amy yell out, "I think you go the exact same speed as a short 7th grader." I stop and suddenly I fall. I sigh and sit up looking at the sky, "What did he do?" Amy came up to me and sighed, "I think he took your speed away." I looked at her in fear, "My....speed...is gone....?" I felt my eyes water and looked away from her trying to get my tears away. Amy hugged me, as I try to hold back my tears. 'My speed is gone...' I thought. 'That Eggman is going to pay' I said to myself in my head.
