Mother

This dank dungeon chamber offers no comfort and often leaves me with nefarious nightmares, Mother. Nightmares containing the most disturbing imagery portraying twisted evil and grotesque horrors. These devastating dreams leave me in a timid state. Death and despair descends on us from the canopies of this world like an eagle swooping in for the kill. Nobody tries to prevent this cataclysm, we only accelerate it and shift the blame. All that is left to do is wait till the heavens inevitably choke us. The gods frown as we ignore them and turn our defiant heads towards self-proclaimed kings amongst gods. It will not take long before the infection escapes the void and heads for this god forsaken planet. Hopefully the disease is different than the devouring death sentence it is described as. I pray that it is the retribution of the sky, destroying the evil and helping the weak. I keep repeating this passage from the book of Roh. "Thou who shall defy me shall burn in the inferno I, Catanero, shall leave in my wake.". Catanero was the king of fire, dubbed the heretic in latter years. He defied Roh and killed his priests. Roh descended from the skies Catanero fled but was hunted down. When Roh met Catanero he said: "I have no inferno to burn you in ,Catanero of Catorad, but you shall wish I had. You shall wonder the world but no one shall speak to you. Your world shall wither and die yet you shall persist.". Catanero begged at Roh's feet. "There is no mercy for men consumed by hubris. I watch over this world, yet no man remembers me. There is no hope for this world. I am not the inferno. This world is.". I wait for this all consuming inferno. I long for the salvation of the world. This promised inferno terrifies me, seeping into my bones, driving me to insanity. The prisoners here wander around as if they have all the time in the world. My punishment gets closer everyday. I do not see my banishment as unfortunate. I see it as you extending your hand and gifting me a chance at redemption and inevitably retribution, Mother. I shall return to this world a guardian angel against all evil, an avenging spirit. But I can not help but wonder: what will there be to avenge? What if I return to a world long gone, a vacant spot in the vacuum of space? Will I be too late in the hour we need the most? These questions keep lingering in my head like a black cloud. When will the infection arrive? I cannot predict these moments, neither can the Tau. You on the other hand have probably already felt these battles, if it will even turn out plural. I just felt pain rush through my head, like a volcano erupting in my spine, a burst of agony. I see all but a deep shade of purple that drowns out all emotions except fear. It appears in front of me. Help me Mother! It speaks to me: "From the dark depths of the void I strike. I am the dread which withers your heart when you gaze upon the night sky. I am the ominous umbra between worlds, the shadow strangling the light, the beast that devours friends and foe alike.". The voice speaks with a harrowing tone and six perilous eyes open, revealing an entirely new world of horror, chaos and misery.
"I am death incarnate, spawn of the eldest son of Roh, Grettau, god of death! Destruction and extermination follow in my wake! I will destroy all who opp.". He stops. The shining tip of a sharp object appears right between the eyes of the monstrosity. It gets pushed further and further through it's body. The horror explodes and it is as if the sun stands in front of me. I cover my eyes but look again. It is a shining knight, clad in beautiful white armor. He retracts the blade and stows it. He looks at me. "Hello." He bellows and I stagger. "Train, my son, for you must be their reckoning.". He dissipates and the purple haze dissolves. I am in my room again. Was that Roh, Mother? Guide me against the purple death. Do not worry children of Tau. The White Knight is here.
