"SAFFRON HURRY UP, WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!" I yelled.
"Alright, alright! Don't get your panties in a twist" she replied slowly making her way down the stairs.
"Dude it's the first day of SENIOR year , I repeat , SENIOR year ,and you're gonna make us late because of you're stupid hair!"I stated
"Hey , just cause you don't care that your hair looks like a birds nest, doesn't mean that I don't care about making my hair look nice" she said smiling smugly, obliviously very happy with her come back.
"Yeah whatever let's just go!" I replied self-consciously patting down my hair attempting to calm down the frizz
It didn't look that bad , in fact, I considered today a GOOD hair day. I followed her out to her maroon Honda that was parked in our driveway. The car , or as Saffron called it "Veronica" was quite run-down but I'm pretty sure she loved it more than she loved me , it was practically her child.
As soon as Saffron parked the car, my nerves kicked in. I wanted to turn around and just go home. The idea of walking into that high school made me want to puke. This happened every year. This "phobia" started in 7th grade when I wore my favourite new shorts and sneakers for the first day of school. I had done my hair and everything , but as soon as I walked into the school, someone grabbed my shorts and pulled them done to my ankles and the whole school saw my spongebob undies. Can you guess the person behind that evil prank? That's right, Maverly. The worst part is that she didn't even get in trouble. I was snapped out of my daydream of stabbing Maverly when Saffron touched my arm and gave me a gentle smile
"You're gonna be fine , just like you are every year"she said reassuringly but I was not convinced.
I opened the door , carefully stepping out as slowly as I could. Hoping to buy myself some more time.
My plans were suddenly crushed when a certain red head pulled me out of the car and enveloped me into a bone-crushing embrace.
