Chapter Eleven

Jaehee's Pov

There were a lot of people in this place so surely the vampires won't attack unless they don't mind attracting thousands of attention.

But if there's a 1% chance that they might, I can't put everyone here in danger, there must be a way we can prevent that from happening.

I looked at Chanyeol and whispered close to his ear, "Hey Chanyeol...."

He leaned closer and said, "Yeah?"

He was really closed to me that I got tongue tied for a minute, I managed to study his features for a bit before coming back to reality. I coughed and replied, "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Earlier, in the crowds, I saw someone...or something suspicious."

"What did you see?"

"I think it was a person. He was covered in everything black and had a hood over his head. I couldn't get a glimpse of his face but I have a feeling it's them."

Chanyeol looked down at the floor, possibly thinking. I watched as his face and body were both frozen, I tapped my fingers on my thighs impatiently.

Eventually, Chanyeol looked to Suho and told him what I just told him, I waited for Suho's response.

"This is a sign that something is about to happen tonight," said Suho as he looked from Chanyeol to me.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Chanyeol. Pretty sure he's as anxious as I am.

"Nothing as of now. But we need to keep both eyes open at all time. One more thing, don't leave Jae Hee out of sight, got it?" Suho told the rest of the guys and they nodded their heads at what he said.

"We'll protect Jaehee, don't worry." Said Lay. I looked at him and gave him a sweet smile.

"You all know what to do, right?" Asked Suho.

We all nodded our heads and said 'yes'. I probably can't do anything to help them but I'll try anything to keep them from harm's way.

"And besides, we have our own secret weapon," Chen kept smiling as he stared at one particular person----it was Luhan.

I looked at Luhan and waited for him to say something but suspiciously, he kept quiet the whole time. What is he thinking right now?

"I see. Luhan is a hybrid right?" I asked.

Xiumin nodded his head and responded, "Hybrids are more powerful than pure bloods like normal Vampires and Wolves. He possessed both the strength of a vampire and a wolf so if anyone could defeat the leaders of the Vampires, it's Luhan."

I was impressed to hear such thing about Luhan, I knew he was powerful but I didn't know he was that powerful. I guess everyone is depending on him, huh?

Though I'm glad that we might have a chance at defeating the Vampires, what Sehun said totally took away whatever positive thoughts I had.

"But there's no way of knowing if Luhan can really defeat them for sure."

I frowned in confusion, "Why?"

"You have no idea what these powers are capable of. They are very deathly and sometimes it makes Luhan loose all control of himself and if he uses them too much, something very dangerous will take over him. Something that you don't want to know or see. In our case, we've seen it and it ain't pretty." Said Baekhyun.

"Worse of all, he'll-" Kyungsoo was about to say something else but I cut him off, "He'll die."

We all turned our heads over to Luhan and studied his expressions----he looks very serious right now.

Although I want these Vampires defeated, I also can't risk losing Luhan because of his uncontrollable strength. We just became close too and I was getting to know him better but now..now-"

I touched my lips and remembered what happened on the roof the other day. Our first kiss---my first kiss...

How can he die after stealing my first kiss? I won't let him.
