John came down to the arena looking worried I could tell something was wrong. I was standing there scratching her withers while waiting for the mounting block. He bought the crate over and I safely mounted into the Saddle. I asked him what was wrong, he said nothing. I started to walk around the arena, then I picked up a trot. I went over a few trot poles, then I asked john to set up a cross rail and I queued a canter. She had the SMOOTHEST CANTER EVER! We cantered over and ended up doing chase me charlie. (when you jump and then go higher and higher until you knock it) I trotted out of the arena, let her drink, untacked, brushed her, failed to get on her bareback, finally got on her bareback, and I was about to canter down to the dam, when John ran up.
"Maddie! I need to tell you something!" I turned around and trotted over to him.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I need you to come up to the barn your mums waiting for you" he said.
I went up to the barn and saw my mum crying and in tears she walked up to me "what wrong" I asked.
"Your um.... your .... died" she said.
"What?" I said.
"Your dad died" she said crying
I felt sadness and my gut was in a not I didn't no what to do I didn't believe her but something in me said I had to believe in the truth but I did want to I just didn't. I started crying I just broke down the girls saw me crying and feeling sorry.
"I want to go for a ride" I said.
John was like "no you need to go home your mum needs you to go home".
I yelled "I WANT TO SEE HIM AGAIN JUST TO SAY GOODBYE JUST ONCE MORE!".
Once I went home I went into mum and dad's room and looked at his stuff I smelt his shirts and cried on his pillow I missed him.
