Well I guess I'm continuing this storyline. Sorry for the long wait for the update. Hope you guys enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'm so tired of this place, ugh. thought Courtney. She was in the communal bathrooms washing her face. Actually it was more like she dunked her face into the sink filled with cold water.
"Drowning yourself already? You know there's an entire lake for that just a couple yards away, right?" joked none other than the delinquent she may or may not have spent the other night with.
"Haha I wish," she answered, tossing her head back in such a way that made the water in her hair attack the wall, and Duncan, like tiny clear blue bullets. It was a lot like that one scene in The Little Mermaid, only less graceful and Courtney wasn't a mermaid. She's a lot prettier than Ariel, not to mention the fact how much harder handling Courtney was compared to Ariel. Sure, Ariel went against her father's wishes and made a deal with the Sea Witch, but Courtney would actually read the fine print. Basically, Courtney is just prettier and a hell of a lot smarter than Ariel. Also, Duncan wouldn't be Prince Eric. Duncan would be more of a Flynn Rider, (aka Eugene Fitzherbert), but that's besides the point. Duncan flinched and chuckled, wiping the tap water from his face. His green mohawk hanging down in his face causing even more water to drip into his eyes. Courtney ran a hand through her hair and looked at Duncan. She saw him dripping wet with his watered down neon green mohawk. Her hand moved to her mouth as she began to laugh hysterically.
"What's so funny?" asked Duncan defensively, flipping his hair out of his eyes.
"Oh I don't know maybe the fact that you're dripping wet," Courtney retorted, still overcome with laughter.
"What's wrong with being wet?" he replied. Then he whispered in her ear, "I know you are." His voice and breath tickled her ear and she giggled.
"Duncan!" Courtney exclaimed, still giggling, as she playfully hit him on the shoulder.
"What? Do you want me to forget our amazing night?" Duncan asked cockily. This time Courtney full on shoved him. "You know you enjoyed yourself, Princess."
"Oh shut up," Courtney mumbled with a nice rosy pink blush spreading across her entire face. It made her freckles even more noticeable. There was also a slight grin on her lips. However, even with the blush and smile, Courtney's onyx eyes were sad.
"Hey Courtney, what's wrong?" Duncan asked worriedly. He cupped her face in his hand, causing her to make eye contact with him. His eyebrows turned up expressing his concern even more so.
"It was a passionate mistake," she mumbled back, her eyes glossing over with tears. "Duncan, you're just a bad boy player. I shouldn't have let my walls down like that. I always swore to myself that I'd never do anything like that unless it was absolute true love and marriage. You don't love me. You just wanted in my pants." Her words got choked up as a tear ran down her cheek leaving a wet streak.
"Courtney, you've got it all wrong. Well, half wrong. I've always been a 'bad boy player' or whatever, but you-you changed something. I never thought I could fall for somebody like that. Courtney, I...I..."
"What Duncan?" Courtney asked solemnly.
"I-I do love you..." Duncan admitted, rubbing the back of his neck like he always did when he was nervous, worried, or trying to play it cool. This took Courtney by surprise to the point that she actually jumped.
"What?" Her previously sad eyes lit up instantly. Duncan sighed heavily.
"Uh yeah. I guess I said it." He then stood up taller and exclaimed at the top of his lungs, "That's right! I love you Courtney!"
