a riddle i came up with

this queen has to hire a bounty hunter to capture a criminal. when she hires the bounty hunter, she tells him specifically to bring the criminal unharmed. when the bounty hunter comes back with the criminal, she finds that the criminal is in a coma. did the bounty hunter follow the queen's directions?
