Waiting

I've never felt this way before. It's so noisy. It must be rush hour, so many cars are on the street and people are rushing to and fro. The seasons seemed to have changed so fast. Last I remember, summer Had just started and I was out with my friends. Now the trees are losing their leaves and the cool autumn breeze brushes against my skin.

But where am I? How did I get here? Huh? Donggu's tutoring center? Time flies I guess it's already Monday. Every weekday I walk to the tutoring center where my mom picks me up at 6 pm.

The big clock on the tallest building indicates that it's 4:38 pm. I'm already late so I rush into the tutoring center and as always I sit take out my books and study. I sit in the back of the room as to not be disturbed, but something's weird. It's as if I don't exist. Students and tutors alike would greet me when I entered the room, but today no one said anything it's as if I didn't exist, it's as if I were invisible. No one sits next to me and no tutor pays attention to me when I ask for help. So I decide to sit and study until the clock strikes 6. When the tutoring section is over we all file out of the room one by one.

That's strange...
....
My mom's car is usually parked in front of the building waiting for me to come out. Everyday since I've come for tutoring, my mom has always picked me up... she might be running late...but why didn't she call? She usually calls or leaves a message. My phone! Where's my phone? I don't remember where I left it.

" excuse me sir....sir?...may I borrow your phone to call my mom?...sir?... anyone?" I hate this antisocial society where no one is willing to help one another. I'll just have to sit here until my mom arrives. She has to eventually come pick me up, so I'll stay here until she does.

5 hours later

The sun has already set and my mom is still not here. No buses travel in the direction I live and plus I don't have my card for the metro. This society's antisocial behavior is really frustrating me. I've been trying to get someone to give me a ride home but no driver is willing to stop. Once again I've become invisible to everyone. Does no one care that an 18 year old girl has been standing outside on the street for hours?

"Hello!?!?....Anyone?!?!?...Everyone?!?!?...Is anyone willing to help me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"
No one seemed to notice... except one person. He stopped and slowly turned in my direction. For the first time someone finally paid attention to me...
