Chapter One

Chapter one

Percy's POV

I take off toward Annabeth Chase one of my best friends. "Hey seaweed brain!!!!!" She calls out to me. "Hey Annabeth, guess what?" I ask a smile forming on my face. "What, seaweed brain?" She asks as an owl flies in the cabin window. "That!!! Read it, I already got mine." I reply as she takes the letter off the owl's feet. "What is it?!" She asks surprised. "You know The Harry Potter series?" I ask knowing she's already read them. "NO WAY!!!!!!" Annabeth says to me while looking at the letter. "Yes way!!! I'm going to tell my mom, so I've gotta go. Bye Annabeth!!" I say as I get out of my chair and walk out of the cabin.

Percy's POV

"Hey mom, I'm home and I want to tell you something!" I yell as I walk into my house. "What is it, Percy, is there something wrong?" My mom asks. "No!!! I got accepted to Hogwarts!!!!! You know what this means right?!" I ask happily and I see her expression change. "That's great!!! I remember when I went to hogwarts, your real name is Perseus Anton Peverell." She says and my jaw drops. "Your kidding right?!?! I mean we're related to the Peverells?! We're related to Voldemort?!" I ask slightly freaked out. "Percy, calm down!! Just because your related to Voldemort doesn't make you any different from anyone else!!!" My mom says trying to calm me down. "Ok, ok. I just got a little freaked out is all." I reply. "You have a half sister named Elizabeth Anna Gaunt. She's a direct descendant of Morfin Gaunt son of Morvolo Gaunt."

Annabeth's POV

I run into my room and I automatically take out my pen and paper to send a reply to the letter. I hope it's not just some sick joke put up by Percy but I start writing it anyway.

Dear Head Mistress,

I would like to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry along with Percy Jackson, my best friend. I hope we will be accepted into the school along with the rest of the students. My parents have agreed to let me go to school there and to live with the rest of the students for the next year. I hope this will be enjoyable and fun for me and Percy.

I run back down stairs with the letter and I notice the owl sitting on a perch. I walk over to it and I tie the letter to it. The owl then flies out of the window and out of my sight.

Percy's POV

I grab my riptide and my letter and I put them on my dresser. Me and my mom are going to get Annabeth so we can go get our things for school. After we get Annabeth we go home. My mom says an unknown spell and then there's a fire in our fireplace. I grab the letter and my riptide and I look at her. "Ok so I want you both to say 'Diagon Alley' very clearly and throw this into the fire. Can you do that?" My mom asks and me and Annabeth both nod. My mom hands me the powder and I throw it in and the fire turns green. I step in and say, "Diagon Alley!" And then when I step out there's a bunch of people in weird outfits walking around. "Ow! Move, Percy!" Annabeth shrieks in my ear and I move. "What the hell are they wearing? They have terrible fashion sense!" Annabeth whispers. "There robes and will you two please stop talking and follow me. We need to go to Gringots, to get some money." My mom says and we start to walk towards a tall, crooked white building. We walk in and my mom walks up to one of the desks. "What are they? I haven't seen these before." Annabeth asks under her breath. "Goblins." My mom whispers back. "I wish to enter the Peverell and Chase vaults, please." My mom says to the goblin. He steps down and we walk to a cart and we all get in. As soon as we're all in it takes off and we fly down the track. Annabeth grips onto my shoulder and I smirk slightly. When the cart finally comes to a stop we all get out. "Vault 746." Annabeth says notifying everyone. The goblin walks up to the vault and opens it just by touching it. The door opens and Annabeth looks into it in awe and so do I. My mom grabs some of the gold, silver, and bronze coins and puts them in a bag. The goblin closes it and we walk down the hall for a while. When we stop the goblin grabs something from a box and hands it to my mom. He takes one for himself and we walk into the area and they start to shake the things. "Holy crap! That's a dragon!" Annabeth says in an excited tone. We walk over to the vaults and they stop shaking them. The goblin opens the vault and we walk in. "Wow!" I say as soon as I walk in. The room was good sized with lots and lots of gold items. I notice something that looks like a trophy and I walk over to it. When I touch it I burn my finger and jerk my hand away from it. "Come on Percy, we've got shopping to do!" Annabeth shrieks.
