"Do you think it's hard to let go of someone or something?" she asked while twisting the promise ring on her finger she got for their 2 year anniversary. He looked at her confused.
"I wouldn't say that it is easy or I wouldn't say its hard. But when you let go of someone it's taking a piece of them with you. When you are attached to someone they become apart of your everyday routine. Like if you call them at a certain time everyday and now you don't it feels weird. Humans don't like change. Then everything reminds you of that person and you mourn like they have died. When in reality they have let you go but you haven't let them go. When you see them in public you don't know whether to say hi or keep walking. You die inside when you see them with someone else. Having a broken heart sucks you literally forget how to breathe, your chest gets heavy, and you want to scream but nothing can come out. Its not easy to move on when you're in love with someone but it's not hard either. Is there something you want to let go?"
"Yeah" she took off the ring placed it in his hand and walked away.
