As the car was rolling, I remember hitting my head on the roof of the car, screaming "Oh my God!", hearing crashing noises, and the sound of glass shattering. I felt myself being thrown around, and the seat belt tighten around my waist and across my chest. I gasped for air and felt the glass hit my face and arms, then everything went pitch black and dead silent.

I lost consciousness. When I woke up, I saw myself all bloody. The right side of my body was numb from the impact of the other vehicle colliding with ours, and the car was upside down. I looked over at my mom who was passed out in the driver's seat. I start to bawl and reached for her to wake her up, but she wouldn't. I cried out, "Help me! She isn't waking up! Somebody help me; please!" I heard a woman's voice but couldn't make out her words, but somehow I knew instantly that she was there to help us. Within moments the sound of sirens blared as they moved closer sending relief flooding my body. As I looked around our destroyed car, my eyes couldn't focus and everything was a blur. I tried to move but couldn't.

I heard the sound of footsteps coming towards me and a knock on the metal of the car. I turned my head and discovered a man's face looking at me through the window. The man was speaking but all I could hear was a high pitched ringing noise and felt a sharp pain in my head. I looked to the left of me at my mom and noticed that she was awake! I gasped and tried to talk but my words came out scratchy and rough as I attempted to say "Mom, listen to me. We are gonna be okay, we just got into a car accident. Help is on the way, I hear the sirens near, don't worry Mom. I love you!" She looked at me with tears in her eyes which made me tear up as well.

Soon, a fire truck pulls up on the scene and so do the police. The firemen immediately began to check my mom and I out and see if anything was broken but, luckily, nothing was. I couldn't figure out where all the blood on me was coming from. They take a big claw and pry off the doors of the car and pull my mom and I out on the ground and onto a backboard. Next, they put on an air mask over my face with an air tank on the other end of the tube, a neck brace, and buckled me down to the backboard. Soon I was on a stretcher and I look around to not only see so many car parts deranged all over the road and so many people, but to see my mom was okay and getting the medical attention she needed by four EMT's.
