I smile a tiny bit in relief as I get lifted into the back of the ambulance and get rushed to the nearest hospital along with my mom. My mom was in a separate ambulance though. When we arrived at the hospital, I immediately looked around for my mom coming up behind me but I don't see her so I start to cry and worry. I look up at the ceiling of the hospital hallway as it seems to be moving by so fast and hearing the EMT's voices giving out demands such as "Get another bed ready for this patient, we are gonna need it immediately!" I tried to move my head but can't because of the neck brace. Then I tried to speak but can't, so I keep trying till I finally make out the words "Where is my mom? I need to know if she is okay or not! Please take care of my mom! I swear to God, don't you dare let anything happen to her because I need a mom in my life! I've already lost my real mom and don't need to lose my step mom now!" I begin to cry again and one of the EMT's say "Your mom is fine, we already have her in a bay to be checked out. We are taking you to one now."

I sigh in relief and we finally get to a room. Doctors surround me, asking me questions that I couldn't answer because I couldn't speak again. They gave demands to other doctors, got a tray of little, silver equipment, and began setting up. They cut the clothes off of my cold, blood covered body and began to clean me up and dress my wounds. Later, they took some x-rays of me, only to find no broken bones on me or my mom. However, I did have a bloody nose that was gushing like a waterfall, hundred's of glass shards imbedded in my skin, and lots of cuts and scrapes on my legs, arms, and face. I cried as they removed the glass shards from my skin because it hurt so much, then I passed out. When I woke, I woke up to a familiar voice. It was my dad coming to take my mom and I home. We were given paperwork, put in wheelchairs and wheeled out of the hospital to my car. I looked down at my body, to not only find I had bandages and band aids all over my body, but also some bruises and we go home.
