Alexander laughed along with his friends Jake and Lisa at lunch like he usually did, talking about things that didn't really matter. Alexander was always the awkward kid in school, always worried about grades and getting in trouble, a nerd perse. He always wore loose, baggy clothing that always looked awkward on his skinny frame. Today was different, he chose his clothes carefully. He wore pants that actually fit him, making sure it suited his shirt. He always dressed the rest of him up nicely when he wore his gay flag shirt. It was about the only shirt that fit him nicely. He even was careful about what his hair looked like. He parted it nicely, with a bit of gel to keep it in place, it really suited his blonde hair. Normally he would have just left it how it was when he woke up, taming it with his hands throughout the day. He felt good today, looking over at himself in the mirror over and over. He never did that, intact he usually moped around about his appearance.

Lisa smirked at Alexanders shirt, then his hair, taking one more glance at his thick black rimmed glasses that sat so perfectly on his face. They really made his his blue eyes stick out. "You look nice today Alex" Lisa commented. Jake let out a snort as he laughed "He looks like an accountant!". Alex was used to Jakes comments by now and he laughed it off "I think I look good" Alex said making a sassy pose, mocking the stereotypical gay guy. They both laughed at him. Lisa gave another smirk "Soooo lover boy, you gonna talk to him today?". Alex froze "...no maybe tomorrow". Lisa groaned "You keep saying thaaaaaaaat. Come on, the worst that can happen is him saying no". "Exactly...he's not gay anyway, I can tell" Alex replied. Lisa sighed again. Alex rolled his eyes "fine" he replied.

-----------later that day-----------

Jake teased him as they walked down the empty halls, they didn't usually stay after school but this was really the only time Alex could be alone with Derek. Alex peeked from the corner "fuck..." He said under his breath. Jake looked around to. Derek was standing there with his friend Brian talking about god only knows what. Alex sighed "well looks like we'll just have to try a different day..." He started walking away. Jake grabbed him "nope" he pushed him out of the corner and in the view of Derek. Brian looked over before Derek did, looking at Alex's shirt, scowling. Alex stood there like a deer caught in headlights, holding his book to his chest tightly, visibly shaking. He walked closer up to the two and gave a nervous smile "H-hi...". Brian twitched and pushed him against the locker violently. "Brian! Knock it off!" Derek yelled. "No this queer needs to learn his lesson" Brian replied. Derek gave a look "I'm not your fucking girlfriend, I'll handle it myself. I'll have someone else drive me home". Brian sighed "okay man, see ya at practice tomorrow". Brian walked off, leaving Alex backed up against the locker submissively "I...I saw your game yesterday..." Alex said pulling his books closer to his chest, choking on his words.

Derek walked over and punched the lockers right beside Alex's head, making Alex jolt. Derek put his other hand beside his head, leaning down to him. Derek grabbed Alex's chin harshly, leaning closer to his face "Stop. Fucking. Stalking me, Faggot" he said harshly. Derek hated saying that word, but he had to prove his point. Alex looked down, making himself small, his voice smaller as well "I'm sorry...I won't come near you anymore...I'm sorry" he swallowed hard. Derek let go of his chin "good" he said before walking off. Alex slid down the locker onto his bottom, trying desperately not to cry. That didn't work out to well though, he hid his face in his hands, crying. He tried not to make any sounds, a few popping out ever so often. Derek watched him out of the corner of his eye as he walked away, still choosing not to walk back and do anything.

Derek walked back home, not having anyone to pick him up. He thought about the boy in the thick glasses, he had noticed the boy always seemed to be around him, staring at him no matter where they were. Derek wondered why he'd cry at such a little threat, he wasn't used to seeing people cry over something like that. He had noticed the makeup on one part of his cheek, it was clear it was there if you got close enough. After a bit he just brushed it off and thought about other things. For Alex on the other hand, he stayed there until the janitor told him he had to leave.
