A MISTAKE

Chapter 1 - Transformation

Falling,
Falling,
Falling, into the depths of nothingness.
The enjoyment of freedom runs through my veins, but was soon replaced by fear.

Where was I falling too? What was at the bottom?

But most importantly, when will I hit it? Will it hurt? I hope so...
I deserve to feel pain, I deserve to be punished. It was my fault after all.

"I'm Sorry!" I screamed into the large nothingness which would soon meet my death.

My blonde hair was far behind me, I could feel it fluttering against the wind, which gushed, passed me. Fear striked my heart for a split second, but was soon replaced by acceptance.

"I need to die" I whispered "I have too see her, them"

Tears started to form at the corners of my eyes; they instantly dried then vanished, as if they were never there.
It was quiet, only the faint sound of my falling body could be heard. I liked it like that, the silence...

I started to feel a burning sensation in the pit of my stomach, but I instantly ignored it until the burns began to intensify and I screamed out in agony.

"S-stop! I- It hurts!" I screeched clutching my stomach; I shifted in the position of lying on my back. Tears spewed from my eyes as I lifted my shirt to reveal my belly button. My heart dropped to my stomach when I noticed black veins, throbbing under my skin.

"What's happening to me!?" I cried, but no one was around to answer my question.

I watched as the black veins grew longer and started to run up my arms and legs, I couldn't tell if it was on my face too. Unexpectedly, I felt my eyes begin to burn, as if they were on fire.

"S- stop!" I screamed, but they kept burning, they kept hurting.

I held my eyes, in hopes for my touch to bring them to a stop, but it did nothing. I winced and quickly pulled my hands away only to see a blurry mist emitting from them. They burnt my hands? I felt my skin become drained of moisture, till it started to divide and split into little segments, blood began to gash out of my elbows and knees.

"Ah!"I screamed, tears running down my face uncontrollably "Stop! Make it stop!!"

I touched my skin but winced at the pain, my eyes were becoming unbearable. I started to feel my self slowly start to drift away, until my spine crushed into the ground. I let out a cry for help which echoed within the walls, but nobody came.

"H-help me! Someone please!" I screamed, as if they'd help me after what I did, they'd be happy for me to be dead.

I arched my back away from the ground, my throte to dry to speak. I felt something rolling up towards my mouth and I rolled over, only to have blood pour out me, as if it were nothing. The burning in my eye's intensified and I grabbed them, throwing my body around everywhere, prying my self to escape, but how can you escape your own eyes? With every touch of my skin I felt a wound open up and a gash of blood spew out. Why is my skin so dry? I could hear the faint sounds of foot steps but my vision was to blurry to see anything.

"Is someone there?" I asked, praying for an answer, but no one did. "Please help me!" I screamed, feeling the tears roll down my cheeks and sting the surface of my skin. I could tell smoke was emitting from my eyes but I can't understand why.

I started to feel my self drift off, and the air within my lungs was slowly emptying, I looked towards where I had previously heard the sound but, I only saw darkness. I could feel my eyelids start to get heavier and suddenly everything was in slow motion.

For a split second, I thought I saw something which resembled a blue flame... but I was too exhausted to think about it. The last bit of air escaped my lips and I felt my body loose its life... and I was once again greeted with darkness.
