The alarm goes off and i get up and wake Delilah and get her ready for school. I put her hair into two braided pigtails with pink bows at the top it was her favorite hairstyle. Soon after i walked her to her bus and go back home. Sam was up.
"Morning." he says.
"Morning." i give him a hug and he kisses my forehead. Right after i fumble to the office and start answering missed calls and incoming calls. This goes on for about a good hour before Sam comes in.
"Hello?" i say to the caller.
"Hey is this is (y/n) (l/n)?"
"At you service."
"Hey im Derek and i was wondering if you could help me out."
"How so whats your problem?"
"Well i see a rakshasas and i dont know how to weaken them."
"Rakshasas i think you can kill it with a brass knife if i recall correctly i need to check my sources real quick . Hold on give me a second. Sam please hand me that journal 3rd shelf from the top 7th book from the right?" i asked.
"Sure." he goes to shelf and scans the bookshelf then picks up a book."is this it?"he asked showing it to me.
"Bingo!"
He hands me the journal and i flipped through the pages till i find what i was looking for:
Rakshasas are creatures from Hindu mythology and are very nasty. They eat human flesh, sleep on a bed of dead insects and are great at shapeshifting. A rakshasa cannot enter a house without first being invited.

I quickly get on the phone again."hello Derek look in order get rid of that thing you have to kill it with a brass knife."

He hangs up.
I sit down in my chair.
He stared at my bookshelf. "This whole thing is filled with nothing but journals. Why?"
"Oh um after i do research or discover a new creature i write it down according to its religious origin or place of origin for example This book has every monster that I know of in Hinduism."
"This whole bookshelf?"
"Yep!"
"This is seriously impressive this mustve taken you a loong time."
"Couple of months yes. Yknow could really go for a slice of that cake."
"Me too."
