Leo and I were walking to lunch when he suddenly asked if he could eat with my friends and I. Well I couldn't say no to a new kid because then he would think I was mean. "Uh, yeah you can eat with us I'm sure they won't mind." We walked down to where we always sat after getting our lunches. "Who's this," asked Haylea. "This is Leo Fernandez. He's new so I figured he could sit with us for today," I told them. "Hello," said Leo as he waved slightly to them. We sat down and Brooklyn leaned over and whispered in my ear, "He's kind of cute." I felt my face get hot after she said this so I decided to start a conversation that was off of that topic. "So how's school for everyone considering it is our first day as seniors," I asked. "Fine," they all answered at once. I don't think I've heard them so in sync before. " So Leo, how was your first day," Madison asked. "Umm, it's kind of fun considering I get to meet new people and make new friends," he looked at me as he said this. I looked at him surprised that he had already chose me as a friend. "Umm, have you met any of the boys yet," I asked. "No, I haven't had time," replied Leo. "Well during our free time in the commons you could go talk to some, I would suggest talking to my boyfriend Matt first so he can show who to avoid being friends with," Haylea said. "Okay sounds good," replied Leo. We carried on lunch until after our free time was over then we all headed back to class.
