We arrived at the Hospital, the staff told me to wait outside the room while they took tests, I was sitting outside for about an hour just thinking about the possibilities, a nurse came out and said "it's not good, Brent can't be cured"
This is when my whole world stopped.
"C-can I see him" I said quietly
The nurse took me into the room where he laid on the bed, he looked so peaceful, I lent down and kissed him on the cheek, the nurse came in and put a pill in Brent's mouth,
"he should wake up for a bit, but he won't stay awake" she said and walked out of the room.
I sat next to Brent, his eyes slowly opened, his eyes were so brown, they were perfect, everything about him was perfect, I love him so much,
"Brent?" I asked
"Y-yea" he said in a slow husky tone
"I love you" I started to cry, this was going to be my last conversation with him, he looked at me with those big brown eyes and said
"I love you to, I know I'm not your boyfriend, I have always wanted you Allie, I have been saving something for you, my top draw" he started to cough, I quickly kissed him before he went, I felt him kiss back, I felt a spark, nothing else, just a spark, it was beautiful, I continued to kiss him, I took my lips off his, the lat thing I saw was his watery brown eyes and tear slowly streamed down his face, as a slow smile appeared on his face
"Top draw" he said in a croaky voice, his eyes started to close, I lay beside him and wrapped my arms around him as he left me, tears streamed down my face , this was the end, Brent was out of my life, he was dead and nothing could bring him back, the nurse came in, and told me to leave the room, I walked out of the room still crying, I walked to my car and just sat I my car with my head rested on the wheel quietly sobbing to myself, wait 'top draw' ?
I shoved my keys in the ignition and drove to Brent's..well old house, I opened the door with the key he gave me ages ago, I entered the house and walked to his bedroom, I opened his top draw to find a note and a small blue box, I unfolded the letter that said my name and read
Dear Allie,
I know I will never have the guts to tell you this, so I'm writing this for you, I will probably give this to you at the school dance, or whenever I grow some balls, anyway this is a promise necklace, I promise you I will always be by your side no matter what, I love you Allie, I know you have Niall but I just want you to know it promise you that I will be beside you...forever and ever.
