(A/N - this book is being written in the point of view of the main character Amy, unless stated otherwise, apart from this chapter, which is written in my point of view)

Amy Turner is 25 years old. She has long red hair and dark brown eyes. She is of average height for someone her age and is relatively slim. She struggles with anxiety, but doesn't like to talk about it. She is currently studying as a medical student at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which is where she met Dr. John Watson. The two have been best friends since the first day they met, which was when John had the good fortune of also meeting Sherlock Holmes.

Amy was constantly at Sherlock and John's flat when she wasn't at work, much to Sherlock's dismay. It's not that the two didn't get on, it's just that, despite the fact he couldn't deduce it, Amy seemed to distract Sherlock in a way that he only deemed as negative. Amy never cared though, she always seemed to enjoy winding him up. Somewhere along the line, Amy needed a place to live, and because John is such a nice person, he offered her, his and Sherlock's spare bedroom. Which as you can probably tell, Sherlock was thrilled about!

After a few unsolved cases here, and a few murders there, thanks to Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes had died. It took a year but Amy helped John get through his pain and suffering. He even met someone, a lovely woman named Mary Morstan. During a night out to dinner, that Amy had helped John plan, the high-functioning sociopath that we all know and love interrupted John's proposal to Mary, to let John know that he was "not dead". This then led to Sherlock sustaining injuries to the face, and John, injuries to the heart. After nearly giving Lestrade and Mrs Hudson heart attacks, Sherlock returned to Baker Street, to see that Amy was still living in the flat. Of course he was over the moon.

Once John and Mary finally got engaged and moved into their own house, it just left Amy and Sherlock living at 221B baker street... which might not end up the way you would have expected...
