Guardians of Day and Night

I was gathering some wood to cook our food for today. While Baron was hunting and gathering rabbits and fish to eat. I had a handful of rough wood in my hands, as soon as I got back to our old cottage, I saw something unexpected, a shadow run behind our cottage-house. I dropped the wood and ran over to where I saw the shadow, but nothing was there. It almost looked like a dog-like figure. 

Baron came back with an old satchel -our father gave us when we were very little- and it was full of fish and rabbits. "Brother, why have you dropped our only supply of wood?" Baron asked.

"I saw something! A dog...maybe?" I explained to him. 

Suddenly, I heard a high-pitched scream coming from the village up north, only about a half a mile from here. Baron and I got up and ran to the village. We had to protect our people of our town. But all we saw was burning buildings, and fires that have not yet been put out. Then, a loud, loud screeching noise came from the sky above. Suddenly, a dragon flew down instantly in front of me. But yet, it was very tiny. It must have been a baby dragon. The dragon was about eight feet long and was very scrawny. 

The dragon came right in front of Baron and I, it's head slowly creeped down into the satchel bag, it took out our fish that Baron had gathered today. A whole day of gathering, wasted.

The only thing the dragon wanted was food. That's it. He wasn't trying to intentionally hurt anybody. He was just hungry. He looked like he had trouble with his flying and he suddenly slammed into a tree in front of him. The dragon got back up and flew again, but this time, he could actually fly, although one wing would barely move. It flew downwards, and where I know there was a beautiful waterful. But why would it go into water?                                                                                                                                                                                                            The next day it was my turn to gather fish at the lake at the end of the waterfall so while I was fishing i explored the waterfall i found a cave behind it. I walked inside it was cold and dark, I heard a growl i ran out as quickly as possible but when i got out the dragon flew out and looked at me. It didnt look like it was gonna hurt me but it smelled fish and it stepped into the sunlight and i notice it was a Shaphire Dragon. It was named that because it's Scales looked like the Ocean. I gave it some fish and left.                                                     What I didnt know is that it followed me home cause of the fish in the satchel. When I woke up I walked outside and it dived from the Sky and stopped at the ground. I looked at it's Eyes and i saw fear of some kind. What I didnt know is that Shaphire Dragons could read minds it flew and came back with fish in it's mouth ten minutes later. It went back to the cave and i went around with the same routine I do everyday.
