I tilt my head back against the wall, trying to ignore what everyone was talking about.

"It's getting a little easier for us, but it's still hard. Dinner or anything we do together hasn't been the same anymore."

"Trust me, it will take some time. Don't try and rush it." he nods and looks up at me. "Ethan,"

"Hm?"

"How have you been lately?"

I didn't want to be here anymore, and couldn't even stand to look at his face. "I'm fine, thanks for asking though." The counselor looks at me in disbelief. I feel everyone's head trail up to my direction.

"Have you gone out and done anything with your friends recently?" I prop myself up on the couch.

"What do you expect? He was the only friend I had, so of course I haven't, and don't expect to be doing anything."

"E," My mom places her hand on my arm.

"What? He's gone and you know that coming to these stupid counseling sessions won't do us any good. This won't help heal the fact that my brother is gone."

I refused to talk anymore, and closed my eyes. "Ethan, please understand that your mother is g-"

"I'm just gonna walk home," I push myself off the couch and open the back door. Their voices muffle behind me as I shut it with anger rushing through me.

I roam down the street, longing for the comforting feeling of my bed.

There were too many things in front of me that reminded me of Grayson. I was even wearing his cologne that I secretly stole.

I wish that I was the unlucky twin. It's selfish of me to say, but I honestly don't know what to do with myself. He definitely had so much ahead for him. It all went to waste because life decided to screw me over, taking the person that I probably love the most.

My feet found themself wandering into downtown's crowded pizza shop.

"Can I just get an extra large pineapple pizza?" My eyes lead out to the window, listening to everyone else around, laughing and joy laced throughout them.

The waiter gives me a smile. "Wow, you have a big appetite." I didn't know if I should have been taken aback by his comment.

"Actually, my brother loves it too so I'm gonna save him some." He takes the menu before walking off, my attention going back out towards the window.

These miserable eyes of mine lead onto a girl and my mind instantly wanders back to Grayson.

He loves girls with freckles. Hers are pretty cute. Maybe that is his future wife. He's probably jealous right now-

Maybe he can still see the world, but through my eyes? Kind of cool..

Hopefully not, that's kind of weird.

My thoughts are washed away when I find the pretty-freckled girl standing beside my table.

Grayson is definitely jealous-

"I'm sorry, but youre the first person I can reach in here," she looks around the crowded room. "Can I use one of those hair elastics?" Her finger points down to one of the many black bands around my wrist.

"Yeah," I pull one off and hand it to her. Her features definitely were something Grayson would call his future wife-

My expectations were that she would just walk off. "What's your name, pretty boy?"

"Well, what's yours?"

"You look like an Evan, or maybe a Christian?" Her nose scrunches as she gives a faint smile.

"I'm actually an Ethan, but you were close enough."

"Thanks for the hair tie, Ethan. I'll see you around," her eyes lead up to my hair and down to my eyes. "Love your eyes, I'm Sahar."

"Thanks,"

She walks off, and soon the waiter was taking up her spot with my food.

Hope this aint trash so far lmao, but I feel like Sahar's freckles have to be the reason why Gray likes girls with them so much- they're so cute

If he hasn't seen her freckles, then..
