"And you're sure that she won't find out about this?" a shady figure asked another.
The former shook her head. "No," she said in a low voice. "That drug will make her think that nothing ever happened, or that she even met her other self."
"Good."
The two figures were silent as they looked at the looming building of the resident college. It was nighttime, and, like all cli·ché's, it was a stormy night. The wind was whistling with a harsh intensity. The tall oak tree that stood to the side of the school creaked and groaned.
The two girls expected that there wouldn't be a tree there in the morning.
"You know my price?"
The first figure nodded. "I don't like it, but yes, I do."
"And you'll do everything to discourage her from meeting him?"
The other sighed. "Yes. I will try."
"Good."
The wind suddenly gusted harder than before, and the biting cold raced around the corner that the two women were standing by. The cloak hood of the first figure blew back, revealing a dark skinned woman with several bright tattoos. Her bright blue eyes flashed and the other knew that the deal had been struck.
Several minutes later, the second figure melted into the darkness.
