"Now boys, don't make me give you a time-out." Jessica said at the charity event to Harvey and Louis.

"I'll agree to stand in the corner if you agree to paddle his behind." Harvey had said smirking.

What Louis didn't didn't know is that there was a time when Jessica would've made Harvey stand in the corner AND paddle his ass. This was when Jessica had first decided to take Harvey under her wing. She knew the boy had potential but he also came with an attitude that would make Gandhi roll over in his grave. They had an arrangement where Harvey paid for every head-ache he caused with a tanned behind. With all that being said, Harvey was actually thankful to the woman for doing everything she had done for him.

He will never forget the first time he ended up with a sore bottom, courtesy of Jessica Pearson.

"It wasn't my fault!" a nineteen year old Harvey screamed as soon as he was dragged into Jessica's office.

She let go of his arm and stood in front of him with a disappointed look. Harvey's demeanor changed when he saw her face. He spoke softly, "it really wasn't."

"How many times have I had to explain this to you? It doesn't matter who's fault it is! If it goes on YOUR record, it's YOUR future that'll be ruined." She lectured him. This seemed to only get Harvey angrier.

"Oh fuck off!" he hadn't meant to say it out loud, it sort of just slipped out.

"Excuse me?" Jessica said raising an eye-braw and crossing her arms.

"I'm sorry... that... I didn't mean to..." he knew there was no taking it back but he had yet to learn that he wasn't getting out of this one regardless of how hard he tried.

"You want to repeat that boy?" She demanded.

"...Not really." He said looking at the floor.

"I'm tired of dealing with this. Why did you get into that fight?" she asked exasperated.

"Because he attacked me first!" Harvey said, suddenly careful about his words. Jessica just studied him for a while. He was starting to get uncomfortable and trying not to fidget.

"Not this again! You were gambling!?" she asked in a shock.

"I didn't say that!" Harvey argued.

"And yet that's exactly what you did!" she said not indulging in the argument.

"Jessica..." Harvey was starting when she cut him off, "Don't you DARE lie to me boy." she said in a tone that sent shivers down Harvey's back but he would never admit to it. He stared at the floor again.

"What did I say would happen the next time you did something like this?" she demanded, not letting up.

"NO!... You were just joking about that... weren't you?" Harvey asked. She just continued staring at him with a stone-cold glare.

"... you weren't." he whispered as the realization dawned on him. He was now thinking about how he was going to get out of this one.

"Jessica, I'm way too old for corporal punishment." he stated in a what he hoped sounded like casual tone. Her lips curled ever so slightly and Harvey knew her enough to realize that meant she was either amused or irritated. He tried another approach, "plus, we're in your office!"

This was also the day Harvey will learn that despite of there being quite a lot of glass, the offices are sound-proof.

When Jessica didn't budge, he figured how bad can it be! The woman wasn't exactly a body-builder. He was contemplating this as Jessica just stood there observing. She knew he'd give in but it had to be Harvey who made that decision. He eventually looked at her and she saw what she needed to.
