Nelly's secret life

Chapter 1

All I can hear is glass breaking and screaming. Most people would be scared but I'm used to it. It goes on for hours and hours at a time. I hear my mom screaming "all you do is drink and sleep all the time!"

Next thing I hear is a door slam, so now I know it's over and he won't be back for awhile. I walk into the living room and all the see is glass and chairs on the floor. My mom looks messed up and she crying. "Mom are ok" I say to her. "Uh ya I am fine I'm ok, just uh go to your room and uh get ready for school tomorrow.

Chapter 2

I walk in to school and all my friends run up to me and start talking. I pretend like I'm listening but really I can't stop thinking about last night. Brad , "Hey Nelly let's hang out to night, you and me we can go to the movies or something." "Uh, I don't think I can i have... Actually ya lets hang out." I realized getting out of the house would be better then hearing screaming all night.

"Hey Nelly is that Chanel? I like it." "Ya it's Chanel." What people don't know about me is I might be a popular girl with a lot of nice things but really I have a alcoholic father and a delusional mother , with horrified siblings.

Chapter 3

Brad , "hey Im on my way to get you so we can watch a movie." I put my shoes on and grabs my wallet. Mom, "hey hon were are you going?" I'm going to the movies with Brad." I walk outside to Brads car , but then I see my dad drunk like usual.

Dad, "hey y-you were do you think your going." I'm going to the movies." Dad, "no, get in the house." I'm going to the movies , plus when did you start to care?" Dad, "get in the damn house you little bitch!" I take a quick glance at Brad , then I walk in to the house.

Mom, "I though you were going to the movies?" I slam my door and then sink my head in to my pillow. I start to her screaming once again. I can hear my mom saying "you don't have to be such an ass , let her do what she wants she doesn't bother you!" Dad, " don't tell me what I can and can't you." One thing leads to another it goes from why I can't go out to him being drunk and hooking up with other girls all the time.

I'm searching through my booking in my locker and then Brad comes up to me. Brad, " hey are you ok?" Ya why wouldn't I be?" Brad, "we'll uh you know ... From what happened last night." I slam my locker , "nothing happened last night my dad just got a little drunk". I pretend that nothing is going on with my family and everything is alright so he doesn't know how my life really is.

Chapter 4

I hear knocking at my bedroom door. "Hey can I come in", my sister Camilla says. She comes in my room and I see her tears run down her eyes. "What's wrong?" Camilla , "dad was... He was hitting me and screaming." I think to myself how someone so young can deal with so much pain. As I sat there thinking what's bad father he is I start to get mad and I walk out of the room to see him drinking like usual.

"What is wrong with you?" Dad, "nothing is wrong with me you little shit, and you better not raise your voice at me again!"how could you hurt Camilla and the other siblings there just kids , they don't know any better!" Dad, slaps me, " I told you not to raise your damn voice at me, and I will do what the hell I want to do with them!" He grabs me by my hair and throws me out of the house, " don't come back unless your sorry!"

I lay there in the grass crying for a few minutes. I'm thinking to myself what am I gonna do?" I stand up and start walking to my friend Kim's house. I knock on her door, Kim, "hey what's up." Uh do you mind if I stay the night , me and my dad got in a little fight and uh." She cut me off ,Kim ," ya sure you can stay of course , ill get you a pillow and a blanket." Kim, "so what happened , it must have been pretty bad?" Uh no , I uh... I accidentally spilled soup on the couch and he... He really likes that couch." Kim, "oh ok , we'll I got to bed good night." Good night".

I braid my hair and put on a pink dress. Kim, "cute dress! By the way we have to leave for school in 5 minutes." Ok I'm ready."

Wendy , "did you hear your nominated for homecoming princess!" Wow! That's awesome , I'm so happy!" The whole day at school I having people coming up to me and congratulating me.

Chapter 5

I walk in to my house and see my dad surprisingly not drunk for once. Dad, "look who came running back, so... Are you gonna say your sorry or what!" Dad I am sorry for screaming at you the other day." Dad, "mmhm that's what I thought , can you grab me a beer in the fridge?" Ya sure." I walk in to my brother Jason's room, "hey." Jason , "hey what's up I haven't seen you in a few days." Ya I had a fight with dad and I stayed at Kim's." Jason, "oh and I forgot , congrats on being nominated for homecoming princess!" Thanks!" I walk in to my room and then went to bed.

When I was on my way to chemistry I saw Brad. Brad , "hey wanna hang out tonight?" Sorry I have a ton of homework maybe another day." Brad, "we never hang out anymore!" I know and Im sorry but I have been busy."

I opened the front door to the house and walk in and I saw my dad with two naked women. I stood there speechless for a few seconds , my body fills with rage. Dad, "hey get out of here were doing something!" I scream ," get out of this house right now!" The women ran out of the house with hardly any clothes on. Dad, "you didn't not just do that you stupid bitch!" Oh the hell I just did!" He grabs my hair and throws me on the ground and starts to beating me up. He punches , slaps , and kicks me. Dad, " next time you won't do that again you bitch!" Jason walks through the door and pushes my dad at the wall, and helps me up. Dad, walks out of the house to go find the naked women.

Jason, "your bleeding a lot!" I cough up a little blood. Jason starts to call 911. "No you can't, d-do th-that!" Jason, "do you see what he did to you! Your hurt and bleeding , is becoming homecoming queen really that important to you!" Jason starts to call 911.

Chapter 6

I lay there in the hospital bed , I look around and see flowers , balloons , and teddy bears. A nurse walks in the room , "hi I am your nurse Jackie , I know you might be confused on why you are hear... You were in surgery. Do you remember anything that happened to you?" Uhh... Y-ya I remember everything." I start to see police officers fill the room. "Hi I am officer Smith , I am hear to talk to you about your father." I- I... Where's my family?" Officer Smith , "there ok they are in the waiting room. So can you tell me exactly what happened?" I walked in to my house and I saw my dad with two other naked women, I told them to leave then... Well then this happened, he nearly killed me." Officer Smith, " ok thank you , we will be back to ask you more questions." He and the other officers leave the room.

A few minutes later I see my mom , and my siblings Camilla, Jason, Diane , and Anna come in the room. "I am so glad to see you guys!" Mom , "honey I am so sorry for what happened, I should have been a better mom and..." Mom it's ok I understand." Diana, "you are all over the news and in the papers." What! I don't want people knowing I have an alcoholic and abusive father!"

Chapter 7

It's been awhile since I have been home since the fight. I walk in to the house and smell my favorite homemade Mac n cheese on the table. "Oh my gosh thank you mom!" Mom, it's the least I can do for you." Mom, "so I talked to the police officer and he said that your dad will be in jail for a couple years." Yes thank goodness we don't have to see him for a long time!"

Chapter 8

Months have gone by and life has been amazing without my dad here. I won homecoming queen , I finally get to invite friends over to hang out without being embarrassed. My family and I can feel safe in our house for once. Even though everyone at my school knows my secret life , that's ok because I don't have to see my dad ever again.
