••Chapter 9••

I had to wake up Riker and tell him.

As I stepped into our room, I saw Ross texting.
"Ross, stop texting Hayley," I whispered to him as I shut the door.

"Why?" he looked at me.
Great, now I'm going to have to think of another lie..

"Because...she told me that she..doesn't like you and she already has a boyfriend," those words had a hard time coming out of my mouth.

His face fell as he set his phone down.
"B-but..." a tear rolled down his cheek.

Ooooooohh!! I feel so awful now!!

Ross buried his head in his pillow. I assumed he was crying.

I raced over to Riker who was still asleep. "Riker wake up now!!!" I have him a hard shove.

He rolled off the bed.
"Ow! Hey! Watch it! What was that for?!" he slowly stood up and rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes.

"We need to talk, now," I demanded. "Okay okay. Gimme a second to wake up," he yawned.

"No. I said now," I said. He rolled his eyes and slowly walked towards me.

I grabbed his wrist and pulled him out to the main hall outside of our suit.

"What in the world is the matter?!" he said.
"We have a huge problem. Remember what Ryland said about you guys not dating anyone from StarStruck?" I frowned.

"Yeah but I don't see how-" he stopped and his eyes when wide. "Oh no."

"How are we going to break this to Ross?!" he exclaimed.
"I kinda...told him that Hayley had a boyfriend already. And I told Hayley that Ross was a player," I shrunk down.

"You what?!?" he slightly yelled.

"I-I'm sorry! They were texting and I didn't want them getting anymore attached to each other!" I said.

He gave a sigh and ran his hands through his hair.

"Why didn't you just tell them the truth!?" he asked, trying not to get angry.

"Because if I did, Ross would go to Ryland and start arguing with him! That's why!! And when Ross argues with someone, he won't stop until he wins!" I stated, putting my hands on my hips.

Riker started pacing. "We are going to have to either convince Ryland to let them date, or let them stay mad at each other and not tell them," he mumbled.

"We also have another problem," I grumbled.
He turned to me.

"Her band!! They don't like us at all! And once they find out Ross and Hayley are dating, if they ever date, they are going to explode and who knows what could happen then!" my heart started pounding, it happens when I get frantic or nervous.

"Del, I don't know how we are going to find our way out of this one..." Riker sighed as he continued to pace.
