"There's a time in your life when you think everything is going fine. Sure, you have your ups and downs, but overall, things are going smoothly. You try your best and you get good things in return. My life wasn't like that at all. One bad thing after another happened, even if I tried to do things for others. To help out. To be there for anyone. It all didn't matter and it certainly doesn't now. I figured something out after all those horrible years. You wanna know what it is...?
The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules."
Bruce William's houseparties were legendary. Every teenager from town came to his huge mansion to party, make new friends, dance and drink. Bruce's parents were gone almost every weekend, so whenever they were gone he would throw a party. Which means he throws parties almost every weekend. You might wonder how he could afford so many parties every year, but there's a simple explanation you might have already figured out yourself. Bruce's parents are filthy rich. And so the parties kept on coming and the booze kept on flowing one weekend after the other."You wanna party tonight?" A low voice scared Hailey while she was alone in her room. Or so she thought. She quickly turns around with a startled expression across her face to see who just asked her to party. "Heath! What the hell? What are you doing here? And don't EVER scare me like that again!" she said irritated. "Aren't you happy to see me, baby?" he said with a smirk across his face. Hailey knew she couldn't lie to him. He would know. And she was happy to see him. He was dressed very nicely in a black pants, dark t-shirt and leather jacket. Just the way he always does, but still very chique. "Of course I am. So, what was that about a party?" "Oh, Bruce is having a party again. Care to join me?" She looks at his face, searching for something that might give away his true intentions. He wouldn't just ask her to go to one of Bruce's parties for fun. Heath barely does anything without a reason. But he keeps his face like he always does: his head slightly tilted to his left, a playful grin across his mouth and eyes that look like they're seeing straight into your soul. "I'll go change." she says to let him know he's getting his way. "Wait for me downstairs." "You're not letting me watch you?" he asks with a little chuckle in between words. "Get out!" she screams to him in a playful tune while pushing him out the door.
Loud music welcomes them as Heath and Hailey walk hand in hand into Bruce's mansion, located on the edge of town. They look around to see many people they know and don't know dancing, talking and drinking. "Here to mess up my party I presume?" an angry voice speaks from behind them. They turn around to see it's Bruce, his arms crossed in front of his chest and an angry look on his face, looking at Heath. Bruce is more or less the same height as Heath, but his high, dark brown pompadour hairstyle makes him look slightly taller. He's not dressed like most people that come to his parties. Instead he's wearing beige trousers and a plain white shirt with a knitted red vest over it. Just what you'd expect 'rich boys' to wear, right? "Here to ruin my evening?" Heath replies sarcastically. "Easy boys. We don't want to make a fuss, do we?" Hailey says flirty while looking at both of them. "Hailey. It's so nice to see you. Can I get you something to drink?" Bruce asks her, completely ignoring Heath in the process. Heath loses his patience, but just before he can scream at him Hailey quickly interferes. "I can get my own drink, thank you Bruce." Bruce wasn't prepared for a 'No', but quickly gets himself together. "Fine. Enjoy the party Hailey." he says while nodding his head at her and giving Heath one last angry look before walking away.
