The sound of her heels came in a rhythm as she walked across the concrete floors , filling the empty warehouse with an
eerie noise to the unknown. The woman making them was making sure that it sounded perfect. As the serenade of heels kept ringing throughout, a small laugh was sounded. It had a subtlety to it, with a hint of evil. The rhythm stopped, as the woman with a sleek crimson red ensemble with gorgeous yellow linings within which brought a sense of fire to her stopped before a set of steel doors. Her amber eyes seemed to flare up in the darkness, giving both a sense of fear and a sense of warmth. Her breathing was slow and quiet, ensuring that she wouldn't break the silence any more than she had. Very carefully she reached for the handle on the door. With just one noise, the door was unlocked. She pushed through to see two figures standing at a planning table underneath a swaying light. The first one was an orange haired man sporting a white coat, bowl-top hat, and a pair of black leather gloves. In his right hand he held his cane which he used for both practical reasons as well as for a weapon. Standing beside him was a short lady with multicolored hair. Along with her hair being both brown and pink, her eyes shared the same color scheme. Over her shoulder she held an umbrella which had a hidden blade at the tip. She was wearing a white coat like the man, only it was covered so that only the chest and above was visible. She also had a pair of high heeled boots on so she could stand tall enough to see what was on the table. As the woman who entered the room approached, the two at the table noticed her and expressed a joyful expression.
"Ah Cinder, how was you night out on the town?" The man said, in a cheerful voice. His green eyes showed a hint of playfulness behind them.
"It was fun. I picked you both up a little something." Cinder replied, tossing both of them a crystal that she was holding. The other woman nodded in approval to this.
"Pretty. It matches my hair. I like it." The man smiled, then looked at his accomplice. "What do you think of it Neo?"
She simply smiled and bounced it around in her hand. It seemed to change color depending on which hand it was in, almost like it was made just for her. Neo looked at Cinder and tilted her head.
"Consider it a gift from one sister to another. We may not have the same bloodline, but I believe we are all family." She said, giving Neo a sinister smile. This got a smile back, but a more genuine one. "So, whats the plan this time Roman?"
"RIGHT! The plan. I'm sure that this will make us a fortune!" Roman excitingly started to speak. "Now, hear me out, it is a bit different from what we usually do, but I think that the world needs this! And it's a great idea too!"
"Interesting. So, tell me." Cinder smiled hopefully.
"Ice cream!" Roman cheered and smiled.
Cinder blanked for a moment and took a second to process what he had just said. "I'm sorry... did you just say... Ice cream?"
Roman nodded excited. "Yes! We will call it 'Neo's Neo'. Forget all the other flavors and go back to good old fashioned Neapolitan! And here's the best part. We probably wont poison it!"
Cinder just stared at him. Roman stood there with a stupidly happy expression on his face as if he had just found a way to rule the world. After a minute, Cinder turned around and walked straight out the doors, making sure to slam them on the way out.
"I'm working with idiots!" Cinder yelled to herself as she stepped back outside into the cool spring night's breeze.
She had been working with Roman and Neo for the longest time now and they had always seemed to know what the best choices were, but this was just beyond stupid. They were always about stealing things and causing mayhem, but ice cream was way beyond what she thought would be a 'Good method of making money' to them. Some nights she wondered how she got caught up in all this, but at the same time, she would rather not remember her past.
