Erono The Myth

The Cave

I'm running through the woods. Lit by the rays of sun through the leaves. Since I'm 13 I have made my own path in this forest. I went into the town and stole a dress, light blue. Of course I had to rip the bottom so I can run through the forest and then back so my tail can fit out. How the people would describe me is, a black tail like a wolf, white ears like a cat, brown antlers like deers, hair blue as the ocean, and skin as pale as snow. Stopped in my tracks, my ears twitch. I hear in the distance teenagers laughing. To the people I am a myth so I get people coming and trying to find me as if I'm a wanted criminal. I get on my hands and knees and poke my head over a fallen tree. I see a group of people that look around the age 15. 2 girls and a guy. I look over to see a bunny jumping around. "Shhhhh" I say with my hand out. I look back over. My tail sways back and forth. I take a run for it and howl. I hear them behind me. I always love to mess with these kind of people. My eyes go fully blue. I take a turn into a cave and loose them. I go around a giant mountain rock thing we call "the cave". I go to the top and sit with legs crossed. "Hahaha." I laugh with my hands over my mouth as I watch the kids running all around trying to find me. "You shouldn't be messing with them Erono." Scared by the voice I spin around with left leg on knee and on my right foot. I had grabbed a stick and swung it around with me. "Oh it's just you Rio." I stand up and look at my friend Rio. A mythical beast like me. But instead of a tail she has wings. "Troany told you not to go outside the barrier." Rio says picking a peach off a tree.
"Just because he's the." In fancy voice. "Keeper of the secret jewel"
"He keeps us safe!"
"Maybe he isn't!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Maybe..." looking into the distance facing away from Rio. "Maybe there's a world out there. And he's holding us from our destiny."
"Erono. Stop talking silly. We belong in the barrier."
"No!"
"Erono just come on." Rio holds her hand out. But suddenly we here a horn. A warning horn from our Barrier. I start sprinting down the hill and to the barrier. "What horn is that." I ask jumping over fallen trees. "I don't know we just ne-" I turn around to see her fallen onto the ground. She had a bullet in her heart. "Erono.... go on... GO!" Crying over her body my eyes go to full red. I look over to see a man running towards us with a gun. "Take this. Burn me. They can't find out about. Us." She hands me a special match. I light it and throw it on her body with tears streaming down my face. A giant explosion happens and I start running to the barrier. Everything was burning. I went to the center of our town and in the fog I see Troany. "Troany!" I kneel by him and look him in the eye. "They have gotten us. You are it. Light this match and run then once you are out blow your jewel whistle you got when you where 5. If anyone gets out and hears it they will blow theirs." He hands me a torch and a sparkling crystal. "I. I can't." My face soaked with tears that are instantly dried by the burning fire. "Go Erono! It's ok!" He grabs the torch and lights the crystal. It starts spinning on the ground. "GO ERONO!" I step back and start running. Of course I never brought anything with me when I went out of the border. Coughing through the fog I run to my house run in and grab my bag and start packing quickly. I run out and to the cave. I sit on the top once again, not with joy this time. End of my dress is burnt and fur of my tail and ears have dust and ash. I see in the distance an explosion. Then silence. Tears dried on my face I open my brown bag and grab my blue whistle. It makes a loud noises that are broken up because I couldn't hold myself together. I wait a moment. No reply. I blow it even harder and it echoes through the forest. No reply. "I guess. This is it. I'm the last." I burst into tears and run into the cave. I light and match and clear out the rocks. Make myself a little room. Using the rocks I make a wall where the whole of the cave is so no one can come in. I light a match and make a fire. Again I burst into tears and cry myself to sleep as I rest my head on my ash covered bag.
